Georgie Mair's first husband dies tragically from leukaemia. Three years later love comes once more into her life in the form of Charlie Gunn, who saves her life after an explosion at her work. But as their relationship blossoms into marriage, Georgie gets the feeling that her second chance at true love is too good to be true.
I quite enjoyed the book. It was an easy read but I feel it could have had more depth to it. Some good characters which could have been extended somewhat to give the book more oomph! It seemed that just as things were heating up - the book finished!
This story is borderline 3 star. It was just okay, some of the story did not ring true to me and seemed a bit exagerated and did not really suit the chacaters. This is more than a story about Georgie Mair and her three loves, John her first husband who died young, Charlie her second husband who resued her from death and turned out to be nothing like Georgie thought he would be and Bill her third bite of the Cherry. It is also about her parents Chrissy & Tam, her brother Tom and his wife Bridget, her ugly sister Lena and her squeeze Hamish and to a lesser degree her older sister Mary.
