Risking it all For a Happiness -
I was totally entranced from the beginning and couldn’t stop reading this entertaining best friend’s to lovers romance story, about engaging characters who kept engaging in pretend fantasy relationship, whilst wanting their fantasies to be real. If you are looking for a steamy, feel good romance to titillate your pleasure senses, then grab a copy of this book. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Jack and Lori

Jack has a best friend, Lori, who lives next door. It is a case of unrequited love on his part. Lori emotionally bruised and annoyed with her ex Adam, drinks way too much, contacts her ex with phone sex and part way through they simultaneously realise that one is Jack, the bestie and the other is Lori whom he secretly adores. This is finally their time but will their fear of losing their fantastic friendship or not being loved by the other destroy the possibility of a real loving and sexual relationship before it commences. This is a short story.

This short story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a cute, fast-paced, contemporary friends-to-lovers romance. I enjoyed Lori’s initiative and willingness to take risks. I enjoyed Jack’s enjoyment of Lori and the willingness to claim readiness for more than friendship. I enjoyed their steamy intimate moments and the ending.

What a short sweet yet spicy book. Jack & Lori being friends and then turning to lovers when a call to the wrong person takes place.
The yearning burning tension the have for one another builds until it erupts because they cannot deny their feelings any longer.
They also get their HEA which makes me very happy.

BORING!!!!!

BORING!!!!!

I forced myself to finish reading this book. I know the saying you get what you pay for but I've read $1.99 books that were way more exciting then this one. I love a good sex scene but this one dragged on for over half the book. No character development at all no chemistry between the two leads hardly any back story. I'm not asking for their life story but give me something save your money, spend it on another author obviously the other reviews were friends of the author.

This novella was a sexy quick read, written from a dual POV.
💯% would recommend.

The only issue I had with it, can be explained by my least favorite quote:

I lifted her foot to my lips and pressed a kiss to the delicate arch. so far so good, but then: "You can't even imagine." I slipped my tongue between her toes.🤢

This was a very sexy short story. The author did a great job in painting the characters and their feelings for each other so well in such a short amount of pages. I liked shy Lori and self-confident Jack. They were a perfect fit.
