Roxanne is a USA Today Bestselling, award-winning author of forty romantic suspense, mystery, and heart-warming, emotionally charged relationship novels in the clean & wholesome, as well as inspirational romance genres.
She got her first horse at the tender age of six and grew up riding bareback with wild abandon throughout her small Minnesota town year-round. It was like giving a child car keys!
She showed horses for many years, and later, she and her husband raised quarter horses and thoroughbreds until their kids came along.
She's living her childhood dream, living on an acreage in the country with her husband, three horses (all beloved elderly pasture ornaments, now), a golden retriever, a Mountain Cur rescue, and six fluffy barn cats. It's a much smaller menagerie than when their three kids were still at home!
Ranches, animals, and small-town life frequently find their way into her books.
The third book in the Big Sky Secrets trilogy. Set in Montana with three women whose lives were changed forever by a tragedy that happened in their teens. Each book features a different woman and the danger she gets into when she returns home. I enjoyed all three books; read them in two days. :)
One of my biggest pet peeves is when I read a description of a book and it does not fully match the actual storyline of the book. That is what happened with End Game. This book is one that was a quick and easy mystery that keeps your attention. I finished reading it in just a couple of hours. End Game focused more on the mystery and solving the crime than it did on the romance aspect which was nice because it didn't force a romance line unnaturally. *Spoiler Alert Ahead*. The friendship that develops between Megan and Scott was enjoyable to watch and contrary to the book description, there is only tension connected to the case at the start of the story. The ending of the story was a bit rushed post discovering the identity of the serial rapist. *End Spoiler Alert*. This is a strong book choice if you are looking for a quick and easy read.
I like the system of these novels, but this one left too many unanswered questions. Both Scott and Megan are convinced they don't want a relationship, and yet they end up together.
I would say this was more suspense with a little romance thrown in. There is talk about rape but more in that they bad person was raping ladies or raping/killing them. It follows a female detective that is hard working cop that is investigating this case. The book follows her working the case in a small town, her interactions with others on the force, and the community. There is a religious aspect to this but not in your face with it. A good, quick read in my opinion.
Though book 1 and 2 of this series left a lot to be desired, I thought this book was excellent. The author captured my attention at page one when Deputy Megan Peters had to work a serial killer/rape case. When she met new resident of the county, Scott Anders, she believed (and hoped?) that he'd be the guy they were looking for. But he quickly put her "worries" to rest by providing lots of appropriate cause why it wasn't him...
We get to see interaction (very little) with the women from book 1 and 2. since Megan is the last of the three surviving childhood friends, we also get to get answers to something we've been wondering through the first two books. The suspense in this book was awesome. There was always some sort of action going down. I loved Scott and his desires to take in strays, as well as Megan wanting to adopt an un-adoptable dog. The romance was handled very nicely. Each had issues that kept them wanting to get involved and we have a pretty awesome scene that take place near the end of the book.
Can't wait to get the stories on Carrie (introduced in book 2) and Emma (mentioned in book 2).
I really like the Christian suspense format in general, but in this case there were too many unanswered questions (also, because I read mysteries so often, I can pinpoint the killer at first mention, which takes out a bit of the suspense). I wanted to know more Scott clearing his name, and I wanted to see more of a turning point in his relationship with Megan. Both of them are convinced they don't want to pursue romance, and then they end up together. I didn't buy the logic jump in this instance. Also, the character I liked the best was the dog, Buddy. Never a good sign.
"I'll be seeing you again…."The attacker's words still ring in Deputy Megan Peter's ears. And so begins, her attempt to trap the serial rapist-killer terrorizing Lost Falls. Megan then becomes the target of his attention. She remains undaunted, and focused while moving forward in her investigation. This was a good book if you enjoy the mystery-suspense-romance type reads. I didn't quite expect the ending to be as it was. Pleasantly surprised. In any case, these are a good series of books to read.

Another 3 1/2 star book. An exciting story, one of the best so far. What kept it from a 4 was the description of the motive for the criminal was a little muddled.
It was okay. I kind of got lost at the end because it says they solved the murders. Really? Who was it? Rex was out for Megan and her two friends. They never really said that he did the murders.
