As other countries around the world adopt these same nutritional practices, the global pandemic of malnutrition and diet-related disease is spreading.

The five chronic conditions you're most likely to suffer from or which you're likely to die are heart disease, diabetes, prostate cancer, breast cancer, and obesity. New research demonstrates that these conditions are most likely preventable and even reversible by changing your lifestyle and following the nutritional principles shared in this book.

· Permanently change the way you and your family eat - and enjoy it!
· Transform the way you look and feel
· Strengthen your body and mind by balancing hormones and reversing nutritional deficiency.
· Radically slow down the aging process and prevent, stop, or even reverse chronic disease.

This is a great resource for those wanting to know more about proper nutrition, who know that places like McDonald's and the like are nowhere for us to be getting food.

What I like is that it all makes sense. Cut out sugar (your body wasn't meant to handle the processed stuff), eat grass-fed meat (interesting note: bison won't even touch grain) with proper fat ratios, and eat vegetables and fruits in as natural a form as possible (as close to raw) to retain nutrients. What I especially love is that it tells you to stay away from "low-fat" and "no-fat" packaged foods.

Then your body will start to properly balance itself and you will become healthy.

Hubby and I will be starting soon to make small changes to get here, although the biggest will be no sugar (because almost everything has sugar or some form of it in it).

PS: There are some good recipes in here, as well.

This book is nothing new if you've read any nutrition books with up to date research and not touting low fat as a way to lose weight. However, not everything in the book is something that is common knowledge even to those who read a lot of nutrition books... but almost none of it is cited, a thing that wold get most college kids an F or an ethics review.

Additionally, there are sections that are overt marketing of Maximized living doctors & systems & products rather than just being a nutrition book.

I definitely prefer books like the Whole 30 with a focus on nutrition and tons of references.

Someone loaned this to me and now I have no idea who it was…. But anyways, this book was an easy read. While there are some bold claims being made, a lot of the information lines up with I’ve learned in school/college and what I’ve been digging into lately. Some research on Dr. Hardick doesn’t shine his claims in a positive light, but I appreciate having an easy reference for healthy fats and “damaging fats”, the chemicals found in water and different water filtration processes, as well as an Environmental Working Group reference regarding pesticide load in fruits/veggies. I’ll be working through the recipes now, but I’m pretty happy with the read.

Very informative regarding your body's need for proper nutrition. Gives meal plans [core and advance], recipes and what foods to stock in your home. Plus it talks about diet-related chronic disease and ways to stop, prevent and even reverse them.

Good, practical nutrition advice but not without many annoying typos, text too close together, and everyone's favorite, "the sales pitch." I'll probably reference it again.

A short, easy read that will change the way you look at food forever. Some missing pieces of information, but nothing you can't figure out with the help of a good nutritionist. Pretty easy to follow the Core Plan if you've ever done the Whole30 or Paleo. Very similar, but on ML you can have things like brown rice, quinoa and kefir.
