Author (an “independently trained” nutritionist) seems sus about where she is coming up with her information for this book. Title was misleading, pretty much just author’s promo for an unreasonable and borderline dangerous diet. Silly scare tactics from author, etc, etc. Only read if it’s like for school or som idk

I really enjoyed this book. Although I've learned a lot about the connection between diet and brain/mood/addiction health I was unaware how long we have known about it. there is a lot of great information in here and especially if you have children, please get them eating whole foods. It's the best gift you can give them.

The subtitle says it all: "The Hidden Epidemic". I never thought of addiction as a hidden epidemic in our culture, but Pam really brings this to light. When she is talking about about addiction, she is not just just talking about drug or pharmaceutical addiction, but rather all addictions, including sugar, tv, video games, sex, etc. And if I am understanding her right, she believes that the underlying cause of it is hypoglycemia and/or depression. hum? really? This is a book I will ponder for some time and have to re-read!
