Willow would do anything to save her sister—even carrying someone else’s child.

The surrogacy was supposed to pay for Ivy’s surgery and get them out of
poverty. But then, the baby’s parents are killed in an explosion and her world is blown to pieces.

As the killer sets a target on her, Willow realizes there’s only one person she can turn to: Shane, a friend of the baby’s father who runs a security firm.

Shane's job as the head of Griffin Security is to keep his clients safe - no strings attached. However, when his former commander and his wife are killed in an explosion, things become personal.

Tom Jenkins once saved his life. The least Shane can do is make sure his unborn baby remains unharmed – and the woman who’s carrying it.

Shane vows to bring the killer to justice, but protecting Willow proves more difficult than he anticipated. The terribly stubborn woman is used to taking care of herself and her small family and challenges his every decision. Worse, she is so stunningly beautiful that keeping the line between business and pleasure soon becomes impossible.

When the danger closes in, can he set his feelings aside and keep Willow out of harm’s way, or will it be the first time he fails his job?

'Eres el camino menos transitado, y quiero estar en ese camino contigo por el resto de nuestras vidas.'

The Hunted Surrogate de Aria Ray y Sarina Hart serie Griffin Security & Protection libro 1

Argumento:

It started off promisingly but way too many mistakes, and it dragged on and on.

I had high hopes for this book. Sadly there were too many mistakes and it dragged on and on with nothing happening. I was kind of hoping that Willow would get kidnapped as she’s way too stupid about her safety and her babies. Shane is an arrogant arse that doesn’t listen, and both of were annoying and not particularly likeable. Also, how many people are accused of killing Tom and Ellen?? 😂😂 There’s way too many suspects and it’s too complicated. At one point there’s four suspects.

Willow reaches out to Shane when the parents of her baby she is carrying as a surrogate, are killed and she is threatened. Shane and Willow both start to have feelings for each other, but they fight them as they’re both scared. Until they give in and start having sex everywhere! There’s no danger either. Willow is being guarded around the clock by a team of men, and nothing happens. She sees someone that looks suspicious and the team are desperately trying to find this person. By the way they never find them! Or the author doesn’t tell us who they were.

The book is full of mistakes. Here’s a sample of them;
Alec who works for Shane, is either Alec or Alex at times.

Alec totally agrees with Shane about a man they both admired, then later Shane is raging that Alec didn’t agree with him. Erm okay????

Shane is an ex navy seal seal who suffered a brain injury, that causes massive migraines. Migraines that tea with ginger apparently helps. 😂😂😂 I suffer with migraines, and any caffeine would make it worse not better, and ginger elevates blood pressure. Not what you need with a migraine! Also relaxation might help the severity of it, but it doesn’t stop it all together.

My favourite one is at the end when Willow is heavily pregnant and training to be a chef. How is she planning to work 16 hours a day. (As chefs regularly do!) and look after her newborn baby? Shane has a business, so I take it that she’ll never see her baby? That also raises the question is Willow is the mother of the baby or was Ellen? At times it seems like it’s either of them.

Sorry it’s terrible.

Great start to what I am sure will be another great series! Shane is a former Navy SEAL who owns his own security/protection company. Willow is a surrogate for Shane’s commander, Tom and his wife Ella. When Tom and his wife are killed, Willow calls the one person Tom trusted to take care of her and their baby. Shane is not one to mix business with pleasure, but after meeting Willow, who is sassy, feisty, and ready to fight, he starts to feel things that he hasn’t felt before. Willow is guarded, and very protective of her sister and niece. She has always been the one who takes care of everyone and is finding it very hard to give over control to a man who makes her feel!

Action, drama, deception, cover-ups, kidnappings, misunderstandings, and bonds are formed throughout this story. Like I said, great start to the series and I am looking forward to reading Zac’s story next and looking forward to reading more about the other characters. I absolutely loved The Hunted Surrogate: Griffin Security & Protection, Book 1 of Griffin Security & Protection. Willow is happy being a surrogate since it allows her to help her ill sister. What she wasn’t expecting was for the babies parents to be killed and Shane to take over as her protector. He’s bossy and grumpy but hot as hell. She knows if she falls for him it will break her heart when he goes back home. They are from different worlds. Shane will do anything to protect Willow and that unborn baby if his best friend but falling for her is out of the question, he doesn’t need the baggage but Willow works her way into his heart and he will never let her go. Until he makes a horrible mistake, will Willow ever forgive him or has he lost her forever? This was such an amazing story. I can’t wait for more in this series. I would definitely recommend this book.

Willow was an aspiring chef that had to put her dreams on hold to take care of her big sister and her medical bills. So she made a plan to be a surrogate for Tom and Ella. When Tom was receiving death threats, he gave Willow a card that had Shane’s name on it and told her that if anything happened to him or Ella to go to him and he would know what to do. The unthinkable happens and Willow needs to get in contact with Shane. He is dominant, protective and super bossy. They are falling for each other, but will he be able to protect her if they cross the line? Will he be OK with raising another man’s baby?

Good story disappointed not to get epilogue ending.

Grrr..... Why oh why at the end is the extended epilogue not included.
I will never understand if it's part of the book we purchase why not simply include it in the book, not have you click here and join up to receive emails.
The storyline was engaging but now I'm disappointed that I purchased a book and wasn't given the whole story.
Although I enjoyed what I did read I won't continue with the series as I don't want to be left disappointed at the end.
If I want to join mailing lists it should be my choice, not pressured to join to receive the end of stories.

Protecting the Surrogate . . .

When her sister Ivy needs expensive surgery, Willow makes a selfless sacrifice to save her sister. She becomes a surrogate for the Jenkins family. But the couple is killed in an explosion and someone comes after Willow to kill the baby! Willow looks for protection from Shane who is a close friend of the baby’s father and has the skills necessary to keep her safe. But who is after her? And why would they target a baby? Can Shane keep her safe while they try to find answers?

The first book in the Griffin Security & Protection series. Willow agreed to be a surrogate then the couple are killed. Now Willow is on the killers list, so she goes to Shane, the head of Griffin Security. Their story has suspense, drama, danger, murder, villains and romance. I enjoyed reading. This book starts with an easy pace and then just keeps picking up speed. I really enjoyed how the plot flowed and I liked the characters. Willow and Shane were great and I liked the interactions between all of the members of the team. Fantastic story and a great start to this series.

Excellent.

Book 1 in this series is about Willow and Shane. Willow is certainly stubborn at times when she needed to listen to Shane about security.

I was surprised about who was involved. Couldn’t believe that. This book has certainly got me hooked and cannot wait for more of this series.

I enjoyed the story. There was so many twist and turns about who killed Tom and Ella. I was glad that the woman they hired kept the baby. It wasn't until the end that you found out who did the killings. Loved the HEA

Willow was trying to save her sister; she was helping a couple trying for a baby by surrogacy
Willow had agreed to help the couple Tom and his wife Ella and she was also using the money to save her sister who had a heart condition that needed to be sorted, she also had a very young niece who she dearly loved.
Willow in in the first trimester of the surrogacy when Tom and Ella are killed in an explosion and they had advised her if she ever needed help to contact one of Tom Marine comrades that now had a private security firm.
Shane had come to her assistance and as he had started to look into the death of his best friend and head of his old department it had soon become obvious that the explosion at the house had most definitely not been an accident so she had been put under protective care and so had her sister Ivy and her Neice
The surrogacy was supposed to pay for Ivy’s surgery and get them out of poverty.
There home is attacked and a threat in thrown through the window and it is obvious that someone is trying to harm Willow, but why and Who?
As you read this wonderful story you will be surprised at the way the enquiry Shane takes over with his department it is surprising when they discover exactly what is happening and why Tom and Ella have been killed.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

I love surrogate romances and this one did not disappoint. Shane was a former Navy Seal and now Body Guard. Willow became a surrogate to help care for her family and her sister's medical bills. Sadly, mysteriously the couple she was surrogating for were murdered and now she must protect the unborn child who is in danger from an unknown threat. Enter Griffin Security and their team of former military hero's to protect Willow, her unborn baby and family and solve the mystery of who killed the baby's parents and why they are now after Willow and the baby.

I love strong brother/friend bonds so I really enjoyed that aspect of the story. The brother's and friends that run the security company are all close, funny, drop-dead gorgeous, alpha hero's and I'm seriously here for it. My heart really felt for Willow and what she and her family were going through and it was so amazing when she and Shane finally got together. Serious steaminess!

I would say the only thing that I kinda didn't care for was a scene where the two mains start to hook up right after she puked from morning sickness and I'm just sitting here so grossed out like dude go brush your teeth before you kiss him lol. So, really it was just being mindful of basic self-care stuff but other than that totally just my own issue thing this was an enjoyable read and look forward to the rest of the series!

I went back and forth on whether I would read this one. It seemed like there would be some rough moments and I wasn't sure that I was ready. Now I am kicking myself for not starting sooner. I was right, there were some heavy moments, but they were handled so well that I still couldn't stop reading. The word fascinating comes to mind. A lot of times in books like these the villain is obvious from very early on. Not the case at all for this one though. You couldn't tell who was good and who was bad, and who was coming for the fmc for the most part. It definitely kept me guessing. I loved that the mmc was ottp protective and possessive and strong and hotttt! But I also loved that he had a weakness, he seemed real. I enjoyed each of the characters in the book, even if the fmc was a bit of a crybaby lol. It was understandable, at least she had a good reason to be. I will be looking forward to Zac's story, but I wish that Ivy and Eros had one too.

Underneath it all this is a good book with likeable characters, I just found the story went in so many directions and there were so many shock factors that by the end I wasn’t really shocked at all by the who-done-it, and there were several which made it rather confusing to be honest.

The premise is good and I liked the scene setting for the wider series with the other characters, that are surely going to get books, being introduced.

Shane was a bit of an alpha A-hole at times and his overly domineering ways were not always fully balanced out by the sweet things he did at times.
Willow was a strong character but did let him get away with toxic behaviour which was a little frustrating.

Overall an engaging read but you do meander down lots of paths that don’t really lead to much sometimes.

The Hunted Surrogate is Book 1 in the Griffin Security & Protection Agency series. It is a beautiful start to this series as it introduces us to all the characters and allows us to decide if these are guys we want on our team, and I have to say that they are!

This book focuses on Willow and Shane. He is the middle brother of the family that started Griffin Security but the one who gets things done and does so with the finesse needed. Willow is the client that he falls for but kind of not. Her circumstances are unique, and she proves that she is the "one." I like that she is your basic down-home girl who is not afraid of hard work. He is that elite military man who is also accustomed to hard work. Well, they work it all out together in a perfect way over some challenging circumstances.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Willow and Shane’s journey. Willow will do anything for her sister and niece, and she is acting as a surrogate for a couple to pay for her sister to have heart surgery. When the couple as killed Willow becomes a target, and she has no option but to ask Shane, who is a friend to the baby’s dad, and who has a security company, for help. Shane will do whatever he must to protect and keep Willow and her family safe, even when she challenges him at every turn, plus investigating his commander and wife’s death. This is a well written story which is emotionally charged, with justice, family, friendships, challenges, danger, suspense, twists, intrigue, mystery, revelations, and love, which leads to a riveting and thrilling page turner.

Willow and Shane come from two different worlds, but I could relate with both. Shane came from a loving family and always had support. However, Willow and her sister have only had each other and when the medical bills grew, they didn't have money other than bare minimum. It had to have been a difficult decision, but Willow takes the drastic measure of becoming a surrogate. After the baby's parents are killed, I could easily imagine her stress and anxiety about raising a child that isn't really hers and having even more expenses. Add to that someone trying to kill her. The author did a fantastic job with the thoughts and emotions of both Shane and Willow as they each deal with loss. The suspense and romance keep the pace of the book constant and enjoyable.

A wonderful story that is full of suspense and drama and unexpected moments. Willow has not fallen on her mouth and can defend herself well against Shane's dominant and protective attitude, especially if she ends up alone with a pregnancy she hadn't counted on because she was only a surrogate mother for her sister's child and brother in law and by fate she is the only one who can take care of the baby and she does so with the help of Shane. and the romance also splashes from the book. I always have a soft spot for Seal of former military stories and I recommend reading this story as well.

Willow and Shane’s story start by her carrying his good friends and wife’s baby. She was being a surrogate to help her sister pay her medical bills. But when something happens to the baby’s parents and leaves her and the unborn baby a target enter Griffin Security & Protection personnel. These are a close nit, fun, alpha, protective men who are just like family. They will help her and the unborn child of their friend. It’s a good 1st book to this series that has Willow and Shane’s hea. But gives you a peek at the other bro’s in the Griffin Security.

this book was great!

Book one of Griffan security and protection series was a really good book one. It introduced most of who I am assuming will be the men of the other books and gave us a glimpse into the past of all of these men. Being a surrogate has to be hard, but when all of a sudden you’re tasked with raising that baby that you planned on handing over to a loving couple after birth, has to be hard.

This book is full of drama suspense, spice, and a heartwarming happy ever after .

Shane & Willow! What a wonderful story that gripped me. It had suspense, love, romance, brotherhood, friendship and everything you would want. The way the story was narrated just kept me smiling throughout it. The banter, the crazy emotions they were fighting against, the pain and the steamy love bits all was beautiful. A story I truly enjoyed! Can't wait for the next book!!!.

I really enjoyed Shane and WIllow's story. Their connection was clear from the beginning. Willow really was in an unusual situation, I can only imaging being put in the position where she had to decide what to do with the baby she was carrying for someone else on top of the fact that she now had a target on her back because of the baby. I am interested in reading more of the other guys stories. I am excited to learn more about the characters we were introduced to in this book.

Unexpected

Wanting to keep her sister alive, Willow accepted the request to be a surrgant for a couple who couldn't have a child on their own. Shane wanted to find out who killed his friend and his wife. Both cared deeply for this couple and was determined to find out who killed them.

I liked the way their love came about. The story had interesting turns. The ending was excellent.

Willow is a strong-willed woman whose love and loyalty for her family know no boundaries. Shane is a man who always relied on his instincts. Brought together by the death of one of his closest friends - and the parents of the child she is carrying, they came face to face with decisions none is prepared to take. The reading was very good, albeit in the middle I felt they were dancing - and dragging - the story behind them.

Shane and Willow's story is so fast-paced and action-packed! I absolutely loved this story. It was so original and unlike anything I have read. It combined bodyguard protection, ex-military, pregnancy, mystery/suspense, action, and lots of spice. This was the first book in the series, and I look forward to the next.

wow

I enjoyed this one. A surrogate finds herself pregnant only the parents have been killed. She herself is in danger. The parent’s friends are group of ex-SEALS who are in a security company. They help her navigate staying alive until the culprit is found. Quite a mystery is revealed. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. Enjoy.
