The blue dragon has absolute authority over all other dragons. His bond Melissa has been cute and helpful to the human nobles… until now. Melissa was ordered back to the royal capital and the dragons won’t stand for it! They’ve whisked her away to the Valley of the Dragons where no other humans can reach her. Can Melissa mend this division between the two species?
Well, hopefully this latest spin helps keep Melissa where she wants to be and nips this threat of forced return to the castle in the bud. Theoretically if Lord Hubert is correct, it should also make it easier in regards to their engagement and marriage, though it seems he still needs to talk to her parents somehow about that. How exactly is that going to work now that he's no longer returning to the castle and the party has been moved up to a month instead of the 3 months they thought they had to plan everything? The dancing is just hilarious, though the short story at the end from one of the previous books lends a lot of understanding to just why music and dancing would be so difficult for Hubert compared to so many other skills.

Well, instead of being with the blue dragon, Melissa has become his adoptive mother? Not what I was expecting, but hopefully once Blue becomes an adult dragon the two can become partners as well. I'm still holding out hope for this!
This volume felt a little slower in pace than the previous few volumes as well. But it looks like the next volume may finally have the long-awaited party scene! I can't wait to see what happens and hopefully poor Lord Hubert has learned to dance by then.
One thing that's kinda bothering me though, is the fact that Melissa is still being considered as a maid. I figured with her title of fiancee to Lord Hubert that they would at least take some of the "maid-duties" away from her. Kinda strange, but oh well, I guess.
I feel that this party that’s supposed to be held for the blue dragon keeps getting interrupted with other problems. Melissa is taken away by the dragons because of a threat to her daily life with Hubert. The dragons cut off all connections to the humans and even those with riders. Hubert goes to the dragon valley to reassure the blue dragon that Melissa will not go away. Once the baby dragon is content the party preparations are under way. That’s about it with this volume. I’m hoping for some more acknowledgement that Melissa is more than just a maid to Hubert. Also more dragons.

I'm glad we figured out the connection of Melissa to Blue, and it's just the most precious thing ever. I love that they all found a way to chip in to help his den feel like his home. And I love how it meant they had to get stuff from the Capital to help prepare for the party.
And goodness! Prince Oscar is hilarious. I appreciate his desire to assist however he can. Melissa's feet are grateful, I'm sure!
I absolutely cannot wait for the party. I hope there'll be some romantic moments, as Hubert and Melissa deserve it - darn it!
I binge read these so no idea where one starts and the other finished. 1-8. All I know is I went another clicked clicked and clicked until there was no more. Damning thing is that this wasn't a completed series and the wait for the next one goes on. I liked it. Tons of dragons. Age gap romance and pretty much arranged marriage set by a dragon. I liked Blue, he grew up so quickly. The decorating bit was the sweetest. Loved how the knights follow suit. The prince was cool, he deserves his dragon. Liked how he gained a daughter too. Cute series with pain in the ass powers that be not taking a hint.

I really like how the relationship developed between Melissa and Blue with her being seen as his mom. It's really sweet and fits perfectly with this adorable story. Seeing more of the dragons traditions really helps make this story all the more interesting and sets it apart from other stories like this one.
I really love this series… It’s 13+ ratings so it’s cute. The dragons are adorable and the people who interact with them are also cute. I wish I could find the light novel and I could read this.
