I know it’s getting drawn out so we get all the saucy smexy time, but I really want her to meet her senpai. I can’t call this slow burn, because she’s having sex every other page, but still!!!!!

If you think this series was gay before cause of all the homoerotic sex, think again cause this volume was the gayest shit I’ve ever read. And I say that with nothing but love. Asumi moves in with a friend of hers when she’s hired as her live in maid. And this friend, is so damn in love with Asumi. She looks at her and blushes. She follows her to see if she has a boyfriend only to misread her brothel addiction as her being a girl that works there. Overall it was steamy and cute and I liked the way the plot progressed. Each volume this series solidifies itself as one of my favorites

I do like how lewd/sexual it is, but it has a tame feel to it still. Now that I’ve done my journey into understanding Japanese publications, this series was in a magazine that was primarily for josei audience (next audience after shojo, the younger female audience). But this was probably featured first in their attempt at publishing a magazine for their growing male audience. You can tell this series is catering to that audience and therein kinda misses its mark about what it wants to do. It’s very cute, slice of life-ish, charming, sexy and comedic, but the it’s kinda boring after awhile since it can get so rinse and repeat. I will say it’s a cozy read while also seeing some steamy scenes with plenty of nudity.

Smut, smut, and awaaay! Asumi’s sexual journey has come at a literal price, so while she’s in the pink, her wallet is less so. Luckily Nanao, her kouhai, needs a live-in maid for a bit, but proximity to Asumi means bumping up against her… lifestyle….
Well, after her really charming platonic outing with Asumi last volume, Nanao ends up falling down the rabbit hole and that took a real turn that I wasn’t unhappy to see. Nanao and Asumi are such a fun pairing that it really makes this volume sing amidst all the moaning.
I had just sort-of assumed Nanao was a one-off character, or at least a minor background presence, but she is all over this volume as Asumi takes on a role as her maid, which amusingly doesn’t go anywhere you’re immediately thinking it does, and the two begin cohabitating.
Nanao’s flustering goes into overdrive and she’s clearly crushing very hard on Asumi, who doesn’t notice a thing. It’s utterly adorable and the way Asumi’s sexual liberation is paving the way for Nanao’s is just a perfect development. Inasmuch as this story can have cliffhangers, the one we end on here is a belter (if Nanao ends up with Mai, I might die laughing).
If Asumi ever seemed innocent, she’s nothing on the slightly privileged Nanao, who can’t quite figure out what her crush is up to, but is determined to find out while also entertaining every sort of wrong alternative scenario. And maybe getting incredibly fidgety at the same time (Nanao’s panties get some great laughs this volume).
In fact, even though Mai is still likely the destination - the synopsis pretty much indicates it - I wouldn’t be sad to see Nanao and Asumi get together. I mean in the long term; I have a hunch they’ll manage at least one close encounter before series’ end.
Oh, right, there’s also a lot of sex. Credit, as always, to the mangaka, who manages to keep things both hot and varied as Asumi continues her journey. Not all encounters are created equal, but these are decent.
The lube story is probably my least favourite, honestly, as Asumi’s partner is a little pushier than I tend to like, but it’s not terrible. There’s another one about pacifiers that’s okay too, which isn’t going where you might think either.
The showstopper this time out is the swimsuit/pool story, which is almost the equal of the threesome story from last volume. And mostly revolves around its participants staying (partly) clothed, proving that you don’t have to take your clothes off to have a good time. Until later, anyway.
I wouldn’t call this a gentle story, per se, but man this is better than it has any right to be. An author who knows what they’re doing makes all the difference and, yes, this might be pandering but it’s trying to pander and doing a mighty fine job. This story makes sex seem natural and joyous in a way many manga do not.
4 stars - all that Nanao stuff is absolutely top shelf and so much fun. Not all the sex is amazing, but some is, and I think 4 stars is a good compromise there. Not for the prudish, but a hell of a good time if you’re here for it.

The main plot of Asumi visiting brothels and having lovely sexual experiences aside, this volume focused a bit more on Nanao and Asumi’s dynamic since Nanao temporarily employs Asumi as a live-in maid. With all of their genuine moments together, some slow growing sexual tension, and Nanao’s slightly misunderstood concern for Asumi, I’m rooting for her to ultimately end up with Asumi more than Mai.
I’m wondering when exactly we’ll see a bit of Mai’s perspective and when the 2 childhood friends will reunite, because aside from that being the goal, we don’t really know much about Mai as a character.

Asumi-chan continues to be a really fun and narratively interesting smut manga. I would say this chapter was less sexy TM for me and more just silly, funny, fun but the two major sex scenes of this plot were both hitting at kinks I enjoy anyway which is a delight. I am genuinely here for the characters and plot so I didn't mind slightly more focus on that. There was really no Mai at all in this volume which was weird since that is what Asumi is trying to build for but it seems the meeting is getting spaced out more. I do really enjoy the Nanao plot and her figuring out her sexuality and stuff from her desires for Asumi. I would like to see that plot get more resolved, at least some clarity on Asumi stating her sexuality to her so she is clear that Asumi is a lesbian so we don't need more imaginary boyfriends for her mind. Regardless it was fun ride with some solid jokes and some good pacing, I really enjoyed this volume and look forward to getting Four whenever it releases.

The addition of Nanao to the story is actually great. The added effect of the interactions of Nanao who falls in love with Asumi bit by bit while Asumi remains on the search for Mai actually deepends the plot and expands on the characters.
Furthermore, Nanao trying to same approach as Asumi with visiting a brothel to try and catch her friend only to discover more about herself and how she feels makes it that much more interesting.
This isn't just a manga about lesbian brothels. There's so much more substance and emotional discovery added next to also containing relevant but lighthearted plot.

this continues to be TOP TIER smut. the art, the dialogue, the characters...it all works so well. I'm very intrigued by nanao and am wondering who she will end up seeing for her first try at the brothel. her pining for asumi is so innocent and sweet...I think mai is definitely still endgame so I'm curious how this will pan out!

Loved this one and how nanao-chan is awakening her sexual desire for other women, and she's lovesick for asumi-,chan. Interesting love hotels give asumi-chan another side of expanding her knowledge of sex play and growing in life
