The reveal of the Man-God’s longest-hidden disciple has Rudeus rushing to gather strong allies. Luckily, the Immortal Demon King Atofe fits the bill! Rudeus’s team arrives on the Demon Continent she governs, but negotiations are anything but smooth sailing—not only does Atofe have a few screws loose, but listening is far from her strong suit. How will the party handle this Demon King’s devil-may-care demeanor?
Rudeus finding allies for a war can be really interesting or really boring, this book is a mix of both. The first half is rather slow, mostly talking and convincing… once we get with Atofe it gets absolutely hilarious. It does end on a rather interesting turn so I’ll be sure to keep reading. I think I’m actually close to the end now.
Another great volume though I preferred the previous volume, probably cuz of the way better action in it. Nothing much to say about this volume, it's classic Mushoku Tensei with all of its good stuff.
Has an amazing Roxy * Lara moment that made me very emotional, I love how this series is so wholesome while also being a good fantasy story as well. A great book is all I've to say. We have a mysterious character introduced at the end of the story (like Death God Randolph was introduced before his proper debut in the next volume), so I wonder who this is.
And I'm really hoping Sword God Falion will show up in the next volume, waiting to see how that goes.
Kedua di kerajaannya atofe, si iblis oon, Rudy minta support atofe, caranya dg duel, duelnya ngga begitu "WAH" mungkin author nyimpen scene penuh darah dan pengorbanan di battle terakhir, "save the best for the last" principle..
Sebuah info yg sangat WOOOWWW.. get ready for next volume

WN - 4.0 on first read. I want to make sure and note this so when I eventually reread the series in light novel format I can remember to highlight the differences between the webnovel and light novels. The webnovel version of vol 22 covers mostly just the infiltration of Fort Necross and the subsequent battle with Atofe (also, vol 22 of the webnovel includes the content from both vol 22 and 23 of the light novels. Vol 22 of the light novel focuses on the first half of vol 22 of the webnovel). Just looking at the wiki, its clear that the light novel version heavily expands on the content included within this entry, can't wait to get to it when I eventually do my series reread in that format. But overall I enjoyed seeing Atofe again and the demon continent, as well as Eris being a key player here, always fun.
Rudy sets out to gather allies together with Eris and Roxy for the coming fight with Geese. First to the Dragon Kingdom and later to the Demon Continent. While most of the story is talking, there is a bit of a silly part where Rudy calls himself a princess and as a result is "kidnapped". At times the volume was entertaining, it was very much a setup for the big fight to come and somewhat boring at times. I did like the fact that we get to see more of Eris and Roxy, and Roxy's visit with Lara to Roxy's parents was endearing. So, a decent read, not the best of the series.
A good volume, it focused more on the world building and we even get a nice action sequence which I imagine will look amazing in the anime.
//Spoilers below
Geese's part is what stood out to me the most. It is strange to see him follow Man-God, but not believe in him entirely. Geese is in the middle and seeing him recruit characters rumored to prose a threat to Orsted is alarming. Other than that, I really enjoyed the princess scene, it was comedic, but I do believe they skipped out on much of the Dragon Continent I was excited for.
As one of the last books in the series I didn’t expect some of these side quests to be so light hearted but it was a nice break from the tension of the situation. That tension revealing itself more in the final bonus chapter. I’m really quite scared for the future, alas, I hope for a good outcome to manifest in the final 3.
This volume was all over the place...literally, Rudy traveled the world to gather allies for his battle against Geese. It’s basically light-hearted filler leading up to...whatever. Putting my mixed feelings about making Geese the big bad aside, it was fairly entertaining.
This volume has so much information. It keeps getting better throughout the volume. I especially enjoyed Roxy's trip home. To think she might of left Lara with her grandparents is shocking. The ending was good.
This is the slice of life book you need every now and again in a rather action filled series, it's enjoyable to see more nuanced sides of previously hate-to0love character.
The adult story of the main character is not that fascinating when he is a teen or youth. The story quite flat. There are problems, but it's not that enticing anymore.
Kind of a goofy volume, the whole Atofe recruitment was a bit of a charade, but ended on a high note. Love how Geese is one step ahead of recruiting, especially such powerful chars. Can't wait for the finale.
