This was a very interesting read as it informed me like never before about my constitutional rights and the process of search and seizure in criminal cases. I started reading this to get an idea of this process for a story I was writing and ended up getting sucked in by learning about the threshold of proof, or at times lack there of, when getting searched by the police. What defines public places and when and where a person can be picked up without an arrest warrant really surprised me. This was a good read to become aware of and fully utilize your civil rights as a citizen if you ever come under scrutiny. This work will provide me with realism from real life cases for many stories in the future.
