Juniper Falls #2

Her Alpha Police Officer

Rate this book
Sometimes there needs to be a villain so you can be the hero.

Amaia:
My mama said I came out of the womb kicking and screaming. The only thing that would make me happy was getting out of Juniper Falls. Almost twenty years later, I have a successful career in politics and I’m living the dream. Until my brother calls. Someone wants to tear down the animal shelter and Benning says I’m the only one who can save the day.

I’m back in town for five minutes when I run into the sheriff. Nash Dickerson takes one look at me and says that we belong together. As a woman who’s spent her entire life running from the mountain, his words scare me. But what if he’s right?

Nash:
I came to Juniper Falls ten years ago trying to repair a broken heart. I didn’t know if I’d ever find love again, but I hoped I’d find someone special. Then Amaia Daulton shows up in a power red pantsuit and sky high heels and turns my whole life upside down.

She isn’t like the other women in Juniper Falls. Amaia knows what she wants and she isn’t afraid to ask for it. She’s confident and ambitious; she drives me wild. I know her stay is temporary, but while she’s here, I’m going to enjoy every moment with her that I can. Amaia says she’s going to save the shelter, but will she break my heart in the process?

Welcome to Juniper Falls, a small town buried in the side of Wolf Head Mountain. Home to generous hospitality, a little too much gossip, and as always, familiar faces. It’s a place to call home; it’s a place to put down some roots. Kick off your shoes, grab a glass of wine, and stay awhile.

The Juniper Falls series will feature steamy sweet couples who fall fast and hard. These books can be read in any order.

Happily ever after guaranteed. ♥

Amaia is back in her home town. As soon as she could she moved from the small town to DC. Now the local animal shelter needs her help and she fights for what's right. She meets Nash the local sheriff. As soon as they met sparks flew. Their attraction and connection was instant, but Amaia isn't the relationship type... But maybe Nash can change that😉 Instalove, sweet, steamy, romantic and safe with a sweet HEA and no real drama😍😍😍

What a romance! Our heroine is feisty and confident. Building a career in DC far away from her hometown has taken her extrovert personality and made it flourish. When her hometown needs her help saving the animal shelter from a greedy landlord, she jumps on the first flight home. Amaia was an incredible character and I adored her!! She’s a no nonsense person willing to stand her ground. Nash is an amazing character as well, the small town sheriff and big brother to the animal shelter director. He wants to support the cause and keep the peace but Amaia rocks his world in ways he never expected. He’s setting himself up for heartbreak by falling for the woman who always wanted to leave the small town. It’s easy to see why he falls for her so quickly. They were obviously meant for each other. They are perfect together and I can’t wait to see where they end up as the other books are released.

Amaia is the sister who couldn't wait to escape the small town of Juniper Falls.
In DC she's made a name for herself. But just because she was anxious to escape the small town, doesn't mean she wouldn't drop everything to come and help her family if they needed it.
When Benning calls needing help to stop John Bishop from closing down the town's animal shelter, she rushes to help.
Amaia may have come back to Juniper Falls to help her family, but that doesn't mean she can't have a little small town fling while she's there. It just so happens that Sheriff Nash has caught her eye and agrees to a temporary thing.
But we all know we can't help who we fall in love with. Now when Amaia's time is up in Juniper Falls she'll have to decide if she's willing to take a chance with Nash or go back to her life in DC.

The overall story was cute. I really just want to know more about why the Bishop's and Daulton's just don't seem to like each other.
Also, for Benning being the one who called Amaia to get help he sure was absent from all the meetings and wasn't around to help.

This is the second book in Kelsie Calloway's Juniper Falls series. Amaia Daulton left town most of twenty years ago and has a high-powered job in the politics of Washington, DC. But when her brother calls needing help to save the town's animal shelter, she flies back to her small hometown of Juniper Falls. Nash Dickerson is the town sheriff and from the moment he meets the dynamo that is Amaia, he is taken with her. But is the fiercely independent career-driven woman only around for a fling, or can Nash convince Amaia that she can find what she's looking for with him in her hometown?

A sexy, fast-paced, small town romance with a swoon-worthy hero and a strong, sassy heroine.

City comes home to the mountains...with sky high heels and attitude

Her Alpha Police Officer is the fourth book in the Juniper Falls series. I read this book last year and reread it this week so I wanted to write a review as I fell in love with it all over again. The story is about Amaia Daulton and Nash Dickerson. This successful city girl is about to find her match with a small mountain town Sheriff. Coming home never got so complicated as it does for Amaia. All it takes is one look at the new Sheriff and she is ready to dash out again in her sky high heels. Nash is smitten with just one look at the beautiful woman and is ready to tie her down and get her under him in the worst ways.

This story has entertained me and made me smile, I loved Nash's response to the meeting between Amaia and James. I really liked how honest and open they were, the respect they had for each other and that they accepted one another just as they were, as far as Nash was concerned Amaia was it for him and that was all that mattered to him. The banter between the Daulton family was written well and I hope to get to see Nash in the thick of it in later stories. This is my favourite in this series so far. Keeping it casual...???
I really enjoyed seeing a strong, confident woman fall in love with a genuinely nice guy. She ran as fast as she could to leave this small town. When her brother calls her for help, of course she comes running. Nash enjoys being the small town's Sheriff. When Amaia comes into town like a tornado, she blows him off center. They agree to a casual relationship but will their hearts let them stay that way?.

I really liked this instalove story. It was sweet but steamy while still being entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable. Amaia was back in her home town to help her brother after he called her about the local animal shelter. Amaia and Nash were attracted to each other instantly. Amaia was determined that she wasn't a relationship type of person but Nash was determined to change that. I liked their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

This book was very entertaining. I liked the fact that Amaia was such a strong woman who seemed to know what she wanted when it came to Nash. Nash is the town sheriff and Anaia is like no woman he has ever met before. The connection they have is strong and their attraction to one another happens quickly. She is a take charge woman and fights for what she believes in. A wonderful read and great characters. Wonderful HEA.

I think that this story was too short to be fully flushed out. It felt rushed and that made it into an insta-love romance. I get that there was a physical attraction from both sides, but I never felt the relationship feelings from Amaia. Other than that the story was fun and it was nice to see James from book 1 getting more of his due in this story.

Amaia had always wanted out of Juniper falls and now with a successful political career she's hasn't looked qbvk until her brother calls, the town needs her help, and when she returns and meets Sheriff Nash, he says she's the one for him, but with her stay only temporary where will it leave them? Well written small town homecoming romance, engaging fast paced and steamy

Cute small town story that pulls at your heart strings, strong FMC, some witty banter. It’s a basic cute story. Good for a quick read if you don’t have anything else distracting you.

She ran away from the mountain, and he came to the mountains to heal his broken heart. When Amaia receives a call from her brother about the animal shelter she comes running to save the day. Nash takes one look at Amaia as she goes against the man wanting to close down the shelter and his heart engages. he isn't in town for long, but Nash hopes he can change that. Do they have what it takes to get a chance for a happily ever after. I loved Amaia! She is a strong feisty woman who can stand up for the rights of others and for herself!
