Here is some brief information about myself.

I’m interested in science because it helps us to understand the world. I enjoy finding out about new things and then working out how to write about them in a way that is both clear (and accurate) but which also conveys my own excitement and interest. I particularly like writing books that are fun, and I have been lucky to have had so many chances to do so.

I was born in Yorkshire in England, but grew up in Stranraer, a small town in south-west Scotland. I graduated from Edinburgh University and then came down to London, where I have lived ever since. I enjoy reading novels, watching films, and walking in the countryside.

I came across this book in the family section of my local children's library. The writing style is appropriate for middle grade readers. Not overly detailed, the book provides a basic explanation of Down Syndrome in regards to conception, detection, symptoms, support of infants and young children who have Down's, and the possibilities for education and employment for students and adults. The author emphasizes the capabilities of all people living with Down Syndrome while also highlighting the diversity among individuals. The goal of the text is clearly to foster empathy, encourage social interaction, and eliminate stereotypes in regard to Down Syndrome. Older students reading the book would need to seek out further information, but this book is a great starting point.

This book is about what it’s like to have the condition Down syndrome. The author, Angela Royston, introduces readers to the condition that may affect them or their loved ones around them. The author also captures and explores basic functionalities that may affect Down syndrome individual such as (Learning, Moving, Speaking, Reading, and Writing). As a teacher, I will use this text to educate my students about the condition of Down syndrome and multicultural issues. I loved Royston’s appreciation and passion for educating writing multiple books on disability topics. Illustrations within the book also gave you great insight and better understanding with its real life imagines.
