Entrapped in her grief and sorrow, Lexi roams through life with no purpose. She has not been the same ever since an accident took away her High School boyfriend and soul mate. For a while, Lexi could still feel Matt with her and the dreams reassured her that they were still connected, but with time, the dreams started to fade and the pain of his absence deepened. She was convinced that he was gone, and with him, so was part of her soul, the part of her soul that had been imprinted by Matt. It would take a different type of imprint to bring Lexi back to life, but that imprint would come with a price. The dangers of being with a vampire who still has strong ties to his human life, and the possibility of losing what is left of her connection with her one and true soul mate, Matt; a hidden connection that still lives within the shadows of what is left of her soul.

So far I am regretting buying this book. I feel like I'm reading a badly written Twilight Fanfiction. I'm hoping that it will get better but that would be surprising.
September 23rd 2010:
Ok this book is officially painful to read. I don't think I can finish it. I feel like the author tried to rushed things up. I don't believe in the love story. There's holes in the storyline. It just doesn't make sense.
June 16th 2011:
So what's it about? It's a vampire story, a lot like Twilight, but not good. I didn't even finish it. It's the story of two girls who go to Italy for the summer and there's a guy, who of course is a vampire. One of them lost her boyfriend who was the love of her life. She can't imagine life without him... But here come the gorgeous vampire and the love of her life is quickly forgotten... I didn't believe in the love story, the storyline felt rushed and everything had this déjà vu feel.

Lexi and Matt are soul mates. But, after Matt dies in an accident, Lexi is left wondering how she can continue to live.
She spends the next year in a fog, dropping out of all activities and leaving all but one friend behind. When Lexi's parents surprise her with a trip to Italy with her friend, Leah, Lexi is excited about something for the first time since Matt's death.
The only thing that disturbs her new, lighter mood is a series of strange dreams. Lexi's dreams follow her to Italy, where she meets the man who has been haunting them. She and Tyler, who is a comparatively young vampire, quickly begin to get close, but the thought of Matt as her soul mate is always there. Strange things start to happen, and Lexi's life is put in danger as she and Ty escalate their relationship.
The first in a new vampire series, IMPRINTED SOULS offers a fun and quick read. Lanzarotta leaves the ending open, so readers who enjoyed Lexi's and Tyler's story will anxiously await the next book.
I just finished Imprinted Souls by Daniele Lanzarotta thinking I had already read this series was I totally wrong. I found it with a share I did for my Facebook page Indie Authors Are The Best. It had a group of 10 books by different indie authors. I noticed the first one was one that I had already read by Daniele as so I scrolled down the list of books I happen to see her name again with another book. I checked my list of books I had read by her this one was not in my review list or my to be read list on Goodreads. With that I was in total shock with myself, and I have since turned into a huge fan of her after read the Mermaid series. I bought the book and quickly sent her a massage on Facebook to let her know I was reading this. I didn’t read any of the information about the book just the title and her as the author. As I was reading I got hooked right a way in the story. I don’t want to give away too much but it is about a teenager who loses the love of her life, but ends of on one heck of a ride into a world that she had no idea was real until she met the guy in her dreams in real life. If you are in the mood for a different take on some of the popular vampire stories out there this is one for you to take on for sure. As always Daniele has a way of drawing the reading into the story that you end up finishing the books faster than you had plan. I had read up to chapter 4 in a night and a day at the YMCA doing my stationary bike. Well when I got home from the YMCA last night I started reading again and fell asleep around 11pm, but for some reason I couldn’t get the story off my mind so I woke up at 1:30 to read what I figured to be at least 3 more chapters. It ended up being me up for three and a half hours to finish the book. I can’t wait to get started on the next book in the series. Come to find out from her that this was her very first book and I was so excited to finally get to read it. If you are in the mood for a fast pace book with lots of twist and turns this is the book for you. Daniele Lanzarotta
Basically this book is about a girl that lost a guy she really loved, and never thought she could ever move on. Her friend and her get a trip to Venice, where she meets a guy she has been dreaming about. The first weekend there they start experiencing strange things, and soon find out Tyler is a vampire.
Positives. This was a interesting idea, and I liked the storyline. The book is an easy read. There was a lot of good things going for the book, but the author left a lot lacking.
Negatives. Where to begin? Detail. Maybe overrated, but I would like to know what Venice looks like, such as; maybe Venice has trees? I wouldn't know, the author didn't give one detail. Details about why Lexi came to certain conclusions, why she decided to act this way, would have been great. There were no thoughts from Lexi, no describing her minds process on how she figures out that Tyler is a vampire. Those are really important in books, it makes me understand and sympathize with the characters, making Lexi come across as uber annoying and whiny. Also Tyler is supposed to be this mysterious, hot, sexy, foriegn vampire guy, and he annoys the crap out of me. The things he says are stupid and nothing someone would actually say, and he is so moody. Almost like a girl PMSing. Trust me, I would know. All of the characters were poorly created, I didn't care about them at all, which is bad. To top it all off, there were so many gramatical issues an editor would say its unfixable.
Overall. If these problems were fixed, and fhey can be fixed, I think I would really like this book. I got halfway through this book before I put it down, and its not worth .99¢ on Amazon. I feel as if people think because the book isn't published and its digital that gramar isn't a big deal, but it is, and I can't stand it when I read a book that proves that statement, AKA Imprinted Souls. I am really upset with this book, and hopefully I can help someone with this review.
It’s been a year since Lexi has lost her boyfriend, Matt. She believed that everybody had one soul mate, and she lost hers. Lexi doesn’t do any of the extracurricular activities that she used to in high school, and only her best friend, Leah, really talks to her. Her parents, as well as Leah’s, surprise them with a trip to Italy.
They will get to stay in house where they will get a floor to themselves, but they do have to take classes while they are in Italy. Before they leave, Lexi has a dream about a guy that she can’t stop thinking about. Leah believes that Lexi will meet a new guy. While in Italy, Lexi does meet the guy, Tyler, but he doesn’t act like how he does in her dream. He seems abrupt and kind of creepy. Lexi does get to know him better, but he’s not what he appears to be. Will Lexi be able to give him a chance after Matt if she lets him try?
I’m always on the hunt for freebies for Kindle. I got this one for free quite some time back. I seriously should have started this sooner. I loved this one. There were some scenes that I wish were more detailed, but I still loved this. I do like Tyler, but I’m not sure if I loved him.
This is a vampire story, but I still love finding a good one. This is definitely a great one for me. I don’t want to give any spoilers away, but man I didn’t see the end coming. That ending about killed me! I so want to know what will happen like now. I’m just glad that all of the e-books are out now.
Losing her boyfriend was the worst thing imaginable for Lexi. He was her best friend, her first love...her soul mate. As she walked through life like a zombie, her parents decide to send her to a summer school program in Italy with her closest friend. For the first time since before Matt died, she felt excited and happy. Life becomes dangerous and far from ordinary, when Lexi meets the mysterious vampire, Tyler, who has been haunting her dreams . The two have an undeniably strong connection, different from the one she had with her soul mate. But their love is tested when she is thrown into a dangerous situation where Tyler may not even be able to save her...
Girl meets her soul mate. Girl and Boy date for 3 years. Then the Boy vanishes. 1 year later. Girl and her BFF go to Italy where she meets a new "Boy".
Big twist her soul mate stil talks to her when he thinks she is in danger.
Girl and the new Boy start dating when they get back to the states. But her soul mate won't let her go.
One of the best story lines ever! Excelent twists! You will never see them comming! And talk about the cliffhangers! I could NOT put it down! I cannont wait for the second installment!
I picked up the audiobook after I saw that fans of Twilight may like it. Lexi is your average teenage girl who has this boyfriend named, Matt. They are soul mates and spend every moment together till one day Matt passes away. She falls into a depression and for the most part that is all a blur as we move past a few scenes. Later on, Lexi meets a guy who she’s been having dreams of. Their relationship for me was complicated since he’s a vampire and they have to do things a bit differently but towards the end of the book his attitude shifts, and we’re given hints. There is a major plot twist, that I saw coming but not in the way the author wrote it and blasphemy, I was hooked line and sinker and quickly downloading the second book to listen! 🤣
I have some lingering questions, and I hope they are answered in the next book. I can definitely see similarities to the Twilight series but this book does have some differences and if your able to look past the similarities, the book can be a enjoyable read.
The narrators, Krys and Grant were great. For the most part Krys narrated most of the story with the exception of two small chapters but it was great!! I felt like she was the perfect voice for Lexi and she used a variety of tones and inflections to portray other characters.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading YA vampire romance books.
RECEIVED THIS FREE ARC FOR AN HONEST REVIEW! Umm… so I have read this already… yup… and seen the movies. The Twilight days Saga. So I could literally drop this book into the middle of all four of Stephanie Meyer's books and there's something almost exactly similar. Of course DL did tweak the story to make it different and those parts of the story are actually really interesting. I just wished the entire book was a little more original. For such a short story it seemed to drag until the last chapter when all of a sudden… BAM… PLOT TWIST THEN CLIFFHANGER…. and I'm legit sitting here with my mouth wide open trying to figure out WTAF just happened 😯😯😯. Damn, I hate that. But I will read the next one because that was the agreement.
Omg omg whoa this book.... I finished it in jus one sitting cause i couldn't seem to put it down. This is my first book by Daniele and i want to smack myself for waiting this long to read her books! I was up till 2am to finish this captivating vampire romance. I love paranormal romance and it's been a while since i read vampire romance and it's been exactly what i have been looking for... I absolutely loved every second of this book and the author got me hooked from page one! It keeps you guessing throughout the book and when you think you have all figured not the author proves you wrong... And whoa that ending LOL. Glad i didn't have to wait for book 2.
I enjoyed listening to this story. It was the first book that I have listened to and/or read by Ms. Daniele Lanzarotta. I enjoyed the over all story line and the characters. The story had happy moments and some sad moments- yes, I cried a few times. The narrator did a great job throughout the story. I loved her accent for Adrian's character. I am looking forward to reading and/or listening to book 2!
I’m in love with these characters. The storyline is unique and thrilling. With likeable characters and lots of action Daniele has written a great book. A brilliant performance from Krys and Grant. Looking forward to the next book.
I listened to the audio of Imprinted Souls by Daniele Lanzarotta. Well read narration and the storyline was intriguing enough, with likable characters. It played out a little slow for me tho and am hoping things pick up in the next book.
This series reminded me of another well known vampire series, but it's surprisingly good and different. It has many twists that make it interesting and it's own storyline. Excited to see what happens next.
With all the hype and awareness surrounding the Twilight series, it takes something extra special to make it on the shelves – especially if it is a teen vampire novel.
I fell in love with vampires when Anne Rice was the Queen of the Damned, though after all the hype surrounding Twilight, I wasn’t interested in reading more. Then I met Daniele, and saw the sparkle in her eyes when she talked about her characters and her story. So I thought I’d give it a try.
What I found was a story that hooks you on the first page, and keeps you going all the way through. My heart broke for the main character, Lexi, right from the beginning, and she kept pulling me along. I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat, unable to put the book down, and when I got to the end I was frustrated that I didn’t have the second book on hand so I could stay with the characters that had staked (pardon the pun) their claim on my heart.
I think Danielle is a wonderful author; she has compelling and believable characters and a story line that won’t let you go.
Okay, so I really enjoyed this book. I really only had one issue with it(My mom blames it on the hillbilly in me lol) but, for it to be based on teenagers point of view, they spoke way to properly! Like, they would say "I do not" when any teenager I know would say "I don't"....I don't know, maybe it was just me. Other then that I loved it. It has awesome characters, great love stories, and enough twist and turns to keep me hooked. Don't even get me started on the ending! What a cliff hanger! I'm definitely going to get the next parts to this series! I am sooooo team Tyler!
I fell in love with Matt, with just one action. He was the perfect fit for Lexi. I think in a way, thats the reason why I couldn't like Tyler. Adrianna was my kind of bbfl and lets not get into Lexi's parents. Please send me to Italy too!!! What I would give to go to another country, with everything paid for. Sign me up!! Daniele you were right, Nicholas was the bad boy I wouldn't mind snuggling with. I would recommend this book to all those that love romance books! (Great ending!)
I absolutely loved this book! I fell in love with the characters right away and could not put it down for a second! I would say it was a page turner, but because I was reading it on my Kindle, I'll have to say it was a button pusher. lol :) I finished it in just a few short hours and immediately downloaded #2 Bloodlust! Great book! I love Daniele Lanzarotta!
I liked the book but it was so simiar to Twilight. I could tell what was going to happen and exactly where Matt was......That being said, I had to keep reading and will keep reading this series. It has a different backdrop and I loved the characters. Took off a star because of it's similarity to Twilight.
Started off great, here is a girl in love with her lost love who tragically died in a plane crash. Her parents are not liking the way things are heading so decide to intervene. im surpised that they sent their child to a foreign country without a chaperone. But then it goes down hill , wont tell all the details but not my cup of tea.
Leaves you hungry for more. Alexis and Matt are soul mates. That is until a cruel twist of fate takes Matt away. Then Alexis is barely existing. That is until her parents send her to Italy. I love the twists and turns of the story. I devoured the book in one day. I got this book from the author and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I really enjoyed this book, even though it reminded me of Twilight. I did like a few of the twists that came with this book. I connected with some of the story from several different angles. The only thing that I wished was that it didn't sound like Twilight. I will read the entire series. :)
This book was so so for me. Definitely not the best vampire book I've read. I'm not sure if I'll read the sequels. I really don't want to spend the money but I do somewhat want to find out what happens to Tyler and Lexi.
Been there, done that! This is just a poor Twilight imitation. I felt nothing for the characters! The pacing for this story is completely off. Now her academy of the fallen series is worth a true read. This...was an utter catastrophe.
I liked this book. It reminded me of another book in ways but it was still its own in other ways. The twist at the end I did not see coming. I am anxious to read the next one now to see what happens
