at this rate every side character will fall in love and have their moment before himuro and fuyutsuki even half admit they like each other and that HURTS MY SOUL
there aren't enough of the two of them in this volume that's already very short, only like 1.5 chapters of real interaction :( I like the side characters, but I like himuro's happy blizzards the most

SAEJIMAAAAA. I love him. I love him and Komori!!
Main couple need to pull their weight because they're boring me lol.
At least the surrounding characters are a delight!
Volume: Komori overworks herself, Saejima is her support. Himuro's sister's producer friend is a dick, and then Katori attends Otonashi's dad's bday. Ends in a cute snowball fight.

I always feel like I read this series at just the right time because after several days of intense sickness, this volume made my heart feel lighter!
I loved it so so so much and deeply enjoyed seeing the side characters get a large focus in this volume!

อันนี้อ่านเป็น version ภาษาไทยนะ แต่จะให้เหล่าทีมคุณบรรณารักษ์ลงหนังสือบ่อยๆ ก็เกรงใจเหมือนกัน เลยเลือกต้นฉบับนี่แหละ แล้วรีวิวเป็นภาษาไทยละกัน
เล่มนี้สนุกใสๆตามท้องเรื่อง แต่ไม่ค่อยมีบทรักหวานแหววของนางเอกสุดคูล กับพระเอกทายาทหิมะ เล่มนี้เน้นบทบาทของคนรอบตัวมากกว่า แต่อ่านได้เพลินมากๆ แป๊บเดียวก็จบจ้า นุ่มฟูจิตใจ

May 12, 2025Komori sta lavorando senza sosta, tanto che Saejima nota quanto si stia trascurando. A causa della fame e dello stress, Komori sviene in ufficio. Dopo essersi ripresa, le viene concesso un giorno di riposo. Purtroppo, proprio quel giorno è prevista la nomina del leader per un nuovo progetto.
Per tirarle su il morale, Saejima la porta al mare: i due si divertono giocando sulla spiaggia come bambini, ritrovando un po’ di leggerezza. Al suo ritorno in ufficio, Komori scopre con sorpresa di essere stata scelta come leader del progetto, con l’approvazione unanime del team.
Nel frattempo, Himuro vorrebbe invitare Fuyutsuki a casa sua, ma è troppo impacciato per farlo. A intervenire è sua sorella Yukimi, che prende l’iniziativa e invita Fuyutsuki a guardare un film horror insieme. Durante la visione, Himuro cerca di nascondere la paura, ma una volta fuori casa, sobbalza alla vista di un gattino che attraversa la strada. Anche Fuyutsuki confessa di essersi spaventata, e tra i due si crea una tenera complicità. Prima che lei salga sul treno, a Himuro scappa un sincero: “Vorrei passare più tempo con te”.
Otonashi si trova a dover scegliere un regalo per il padre, un potente CEO a capo di diverse aziende. In realtà, l’idea di incontrarlo la mette in forte ansia, tanto da voler evitare l’incontro. A sostenerla, però, arriva Katori, che decide di accompagnarla. Avendo perso suo padre, Katori la aiuta a capire quanto sia importante non sprecare le occasioni per passare del tempo con i propri cari.
Fuyutsuki decide di fare visita a Yukimi nel suo studio di registrazione. Insieme a Himuro, conosce Ryusei, un cantante con cui Yukimi sta lavorando a una nuova canzone. Tra i due, però, nascono delle incomprensioni. A mediare ci pensa Himuro, che con il suo intervento aiuta a ristabilire l’armonia. Alla fine, Yukimi e Ryusei raggiungono un accordo e la ragazza, entusiasta, evoca una tempesta di neve.
La serata si conclude con Himuro che si tormenta: ancora una volta non è riuscito a dichiararsi a Fuyutsuki.
Il volume termina con tutti gli impiegati che giocano insieme nella neve, godendosi un momento di spensieratezza.

COMMENTO PERSONALE: Parto con il dire che sto aspettando ardentemente un bacio tra questi due personaggi. Va bene che sia uno slice of life e conseguentemente tutto deve essere molto lento e bilanciato però su… ho delle aspettative sul sette e mi auguro che si crei quella giusta atmosfera per … ma andiamo alle scene migliori che hanno contraddistinto questo volume. L’ultimo piccolo disclaimer è che come avrete dedotto il voto è condizionato più che altro da non un contatto più fisico. Bene, ora posso cominciare a tutti gli effetti. In primis si sta sviluppando sempre più la relazione tra la discendente della volpe Komori (che personalmente apprezzo più di Fuyutsuki) e il suo collega. Lei risulta essere molto spontanea, quindi quando vuole fare qualche cosa lo fa senza rimpianti oppure rimorsi mentre la protagonista è più “apatica” e fredda. Anche la sorellina di Himuro ha la sua evoluzione sul campo lavorativo infatti compare in un film horror. Conseguentemente Fuyutsuki viene invitata a casa di Himuro per vederla. Lì per lì non mostra alcun sentimento, neppure di aver un minimo di paura. Ma quando Himuro la accompagna verso casa ecco che il paesaggio notturno riesce a suggestionarla e si fa sempre più vicina a lui. Ho anche apprezzato moltissimo l’idea che anche il discendente della fenice aiuti a tutti gli effetti il suo senpai che è sempre a disagio quando torna a casa sua e in quest’occasione è una festa. Lui è davvero un dolcino e non vedo l’ora che si sviluppi anche la sua storia. Questo volume si conclude con una battaglia di palle di neve fuori dal lavoro. Continuo a dire che la stra consiglio

Five stars for this slice of life/work place rom-com being so damn whimsical!
-Saejima helps Komori get over work stress by playing tag on the moonlit beach
-Himuro gets way too flustered to make good on his "come over to my place" promise and his sister saves the day when she invites Fuyutsuki over to watch a horror movie
*Bonus: on the walk back to the train station, Himuro's all "I'm sorry! I can't help but think you're cute when you're scared!"
-Katori accompanying a nervous Otonashi to her estranged father's bday party, where he soothes her nerves by dancing the night away (these two really clean up, btw😜).
-The whole volume ends with a bonus short story (that you, whoever you are, better not skip) of Fuyutsuki and a blushing Himuro (his whole "we're working as a team *blush hand covering mouth* moment really got me giggling) beginning to build a snowman, but then the other couples turn up and it turns into an impromptu snowball fight).
Also, their head hauncho is named Mr. Buddha...I spaced on that... and the fact that "No way! He really does look like Buddha 😯!?"
Closing kudos to me for reading this during the "correct" season ❄️⛄.

Ci sono degli sviluppi in vista per le nostre coppie, che piano piano si stanno avvicinando sempre di più. Anche Yukimin sembra aver trovato qualcuno di interessante...
Himuro si muove al suo ritmo, un passettino alla volta, e la distanza tra lui e Fuyutsuki sta diminuendo. Diciamo che lui non è tanto bravo a mascherare i suoi sentimenti 🤣 (tra bufere di neve improvvise e pupazzetti di neve che saltano fuori dal nulla), mentre la collega è decisamente più difficile da interpretare, però i segnali sono incoraggianti.
Quelli più vicini a una vera e propria dichiarazione d'amore mi sembrano Komori e Saejima, mentre Katori segue sempre fedelmente la sua adorata senpai. Insomma, li shippo tutti!
Con questo manga la botta di serotonina è assicurata. Non sarà la storia più originale tra quelle in circolazione, però ti strappa sempre un sorriso e trasmette tenerezza. La struttura a episodi non è propriamente la mia preferita, ma resta comunque una delle letture migliori del 2023.

I picked this up as part of my continuation of this series.
"The Ice Guy and the Cool Girl, Vol. 6" continues to follow Himuro, the descendent of a snow spirit, and his coworker, Fuyutsuki. In this volume, Fuyutsuki goes over to Himuro's house to watch his sister act in a new horror movie.
I quite enjoyed reading about these characters watching a scary movie, because it is the season for me to be watching spooky things as well. I also thought it was really sweet that these characters got to bond over a horror movie. It is such a cliché trope, but it is so sweet to watch characters who have feelings for one another do something scary together.
I am starting to get a little annoyed that every side character seems to be falling in love and professing their love before Himuro and Fuyutsuki can be honest with one another. I am rooting for them, but this slow burn is brutal.
I cannot wait to see what happens in volume 7!

La copertina come sempre fantastica, la prima pagina colorata del volume è molto intrigante e curata. La prima parte del volume mi ha fatto emozionare e sorridere per il rapporto che c’è tra Komori e Saejima che diventa sempre più stretto e sicuramente tifo per loro perché sono così carini. La storia tra Himuro e Fuyutsuki si fa più interessante, intensa e dolce e sono stata colpita dalle parole di Himuro nei confronti
di Fuyutsuki che sono state davvero romantiche. Adoro sia la determinazione di Otanashi sia la gelosia di Katori ma soprattutto il modo gentile in cui la tratta. L’arrivo di un nuovo personaggio Ryusei mi ha sorpresa ma fa una bella coppia con Yukimin sorella di Himuro, sono divertenti mentre battibeccano. L’amicizia e l’amore regnano sovrane in questo manga che mi emoziona continuamente.

The cuteness overload never ends. I accidentally read vol 7 before this one and now that I have the story lines make more sense. 😅 I have a better understanding of Saejima and his interest in Komori. I also love the story of Otonashi and Katori. She’s out shopping for a gift for her dad’s birthday but for a sec there you can see Katori get a bit stunned/jealous that the gift was for a guy until she explained who it was for. Then he accompanied her to the birthday and she felt comfortable that he was there and not alone. So cute. Himuro’s sister and the path to her singing looks fun with a new friend/partner in the picture and everyone has fun in the snow at the end. Just really really cute.

This volume focused more on side characters' stories (fox girl, Himuro's influencer sister, phoenix boy) than on our title characters. Therefore, their relationship doesn't progress in any way.
Himuro's emotional weather continues to be adorable, especially the mini snowmen who perch on his shoulder. I wouldn't mind more of that. The art continues to be excellent. I just wish we had more pages and actual relationship progress. This series is so light and enjoyable, but like cotton-candy fluff, it doesn't last long and so far, hasn't given us much substance.

Setiap tokoh di volume ini punya porsi cerita yang pas dan makin seru perkembangannya, mulai dari Komori × Saejima sampe senior Otonashi × Katori. Nggak nyangka Otonashi ternyata berasal dari keluarga yg ngga main-main.
Tokoh baru si Ryusei yang dikenalin di volume ini kayanya bakal punya interaksi khusus sama Yukimi. Tapi yang paling ditunggu Himuro × Fuyutsuki karna gemes terus interaksinya mereka.

Saejima and Komori's arc in this was sooo cute! It was really nice to watch them take center stage like that, especially since Saejima hasn't had much time to shine this far. I'm also totally rooting for Katori, Otonashi, and Yukimin. All the characters in this are really lovable all around, which makes it a refreshing read!

Este tomo me ha encantado particularmente. El capítulo de Koromi y Saejima y el de Otonashi y Katori han sido un buen cambio de ritmo y les dan más profundidad, pero cómo sigue la historia de Himuro y Fuyuki no se queda atrás. ¡Todo es muy adorable sin ser empalagoso!

As per usual, this manga warms my heart! I love seeing all three potential romances get some attention. The main 7 characters are all so precious in their own way, and I'm glad to see them both in work and out of work. Is the next volume when they finally start to date?!

Continuo questa dolce e tenera serie che mi sta piacendo davvero tanto sia per le situazioni ma anche per lo stile che richiama le creature mitologiche giapponesi.
