Neo did the reading for this book, wanting to show off all his skills. A boy and his dad decided that they would create a robot that could do all the chores around the house. Things were great when their robot man could do everything, including serve them ice cream. However, when the robot began to act up, the boy’s mother had enough. The final straw was when robot man went to kiss her. There would surely be trouble!

I quite enjoyed this book, watching Neo read the rhymes with ease. Neo found the robot quite funny, laughing at all its antics. He especially enjoyed when things went on there fritz and the boy ended up with ice cream down his back. He enjoyed how realistic the illustrations appeared to be, commenting that the dad seemed to be the same from another book he read in this read-along series. My dad and I both liked this book, as it was easy to read and the rhymes were fun. I found the robot quite funny, laughing at all its antics. The robot man is an excellent tool for teachers to teach a beginner reader due to the fact that it contains some phonics skills. It contains a step by step guide as to how to teach certain words in the book. The book is an easy read with not alot of hard words which is perfect for an elementary school student who is around the age of six or seven. This book was about a little boy and his father who are tired of doing chores so the father comes up with a idea of making a robot. The robot does everything for them like cleaning the house and even making icecream however one day the robot malfunctioned and they were forced to get rid of him. I enjoyed this book alot and would use this book when teaching in order to teach beginner readers. I believe that children will enjoy the rhyming and humor in this book and i would recommend all teachers read to students.
