I literally woke up at 4am to start reading this book! Even if it did take me a little bit to get use to the herione’s name😂
Really have been enjoying this series and this book was not exception. Lincoln and Cassidy both needed to move on from their pasts and the perfect way for Cassidy to move on, was to move into Lincoln’s arms. This was a little bit of a slow burn, co-works to friends to lovers romance. Cassidy was a firecracker, she was witty, funny and absolutely blunt, especially when it came to Lincoln. Lincoln was hot, caring and even hotter when he was protective over Cassidy. Just like a lot of Charity’s books, I love the side characters. They always have such big parts in the books, even if they have their own book. Very excited for the last 2 books in the series!

Always a huge thank you to Charity for the ARC!

Straight Up is the 3rd book in the twisted fox series. These books don't need to be read in order though I highly suggest it especially since this book contains spoilers for the previous stories.

Straight Up follows Cassidy and Lincoln who we have met before. They weren't necessarily a couple I was anticipating (mainly because the ones I'm anticipating are coming next) but I had really enjoyed the previous two books in this series so I knew I wanted to read book 3 and even though I did enjoy this one, for me it was just ok.

Cassidy was fun, flirty, a little sassy and I really loved her sense of humour and playfulness. Lincoln was also very likable and even though he had been through a lot he wasn't overly bitter or closed off, kind of the complete opposite of his brother Archer (Shaken Book 2). He had a sweet and kind personality. Their relationship quickly built from a budding friendship into much more and did feel a little instant with the attraction and feelings but I honestly didn't mind that at all. We still got to see their friendship/flirtationship form which I really enjoyed and I liked the flow of the story.

There was also a slight danger/suspense element in the story which I did enjoy, as well as the cameos/crossovers from Ferell's Blue Beech series (I really love when authors do this). This was an easy and quick read but it was a little predictable and lacking a little something, maybe because it was on the shorter side and needed just a few more chapters.

This series and author is fast becoming a favourite of mine and I'm very intrigued to see what happens in the last 2 books and will definitely be checking out more of her work in the future.

Friends to lovers, when done right, is my catnip. I love all the feels, the will they won't they, the sexual chemistry, the *pull* that makes you root for the characters from the very first page, and this book had all of that!! I loved the underlining friendship between Cassidy and Lincoln, and the easy way they would blend their sensual side to their every day banter. I especially loved how confident and sassy Cassidy is -- her going up to Lincoln in the very beginning when she introduced herself as his future wife was GOLD! She had so many layers to her, and she's easily one of my favorite heroines I've read in a while. The romance between her and Lincoln was so sweet and real. I just can't get enough of these group of friends!

I really liked how the prison storyline (for both of the characters) wasn't the main focus, but how to move on agree that. Cassidy is determined to stay away from bad boys, and despite the fact that Lincoln was incarcerated, he's not a bad man at all. They just together so well, and the drama and angst towards the last half of the book was just perfect in my opinion.

I did really love these two, but I still felt that there was just something missing between them. They definitely her that connection and the love between them was very palpable, but there was just something sort of.. off between them. I don't know if it was just me, but I wanted to see them grow and evolve after the big bad was eliminated. Regardless, this was still a wonderful addition to the series and I can't wait for more!!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

I enjoyed this but nowhere near as much as the first two. This one was shorter and didn’t pack the emotional punch that I’m used to with this series, but nevertheless I am excited to continue reading about these awesome group of friends come May.

After a mix up with the law, Cassidy is forced to quit law school and to escape small town gossip, her brothers lands her a job at Twisted Fox, a sports bar at a neighboring town. That’s where she meets Lincoln, the sexy bartender that just screams trouble. Even though Cassidy has sworn off bad boys, she can’t help but flirt with Lincoln every chance she gets.

Lincoln’s brother co-owns Twisted Fox and hooked him up with a job after Lincoln’s release from prison. He served a sentence for a crime he didn’t commit and is looking to start fresh. Cassidy is gorgeous, confident, funny and completely off-limits. Their flirty banter turns into a solid friendship, but it’s clear both Lincoln and Cassidy have real feelings for one another.

But when Cassidy’s dark past rears its ugly head, Lincoln just might ruin his future coming to her rescue.

Straight Up by Charity Ferrell is book 3 in the Twisted Fox series. I really enjoyed the romance between Lincoln & Cassidy. I like how Cassidy was the bold one in the relationship, where usually it’s the hero making all the advances and flirty/out there quips. I love the community aspect of this series; you really feel like this group of coworkers is a real family. The drama toward the end wasn’t my favorite and I started to lose interest at that point. There was a cliffhanger for the next book (Grace’s story) which had me wanting more! 4/5 stars.

I have really enjoyed this series so far and Straight Up kept it moving up the list of favorites! This story brings us Lincoln; the mysterious brother of Archer looking for a fresh start. Also new to the bar scene is Cassidy who always seems to land the bad boy.

Cassidy was a great character with her quick whit and going after exactly what she wanted. I love when the heroine of the story just says what she wants and no beating around the bush. Lincoln was a fabulous leading man. He fell into the wrong side of things and although loyalty is a good thing sometimes it is definitely misplaced.

Together this couple grow into something wonderful and I definitely recommend reading!

Book 3 of the Twisted Fox series and it was such a great addition. Loved Lincoln and Cassidy. Was so happy to finally get their story. This was a fun friends to lovers romance that leave you with a smile on your face. Loved them together. They both have suffered thanks to others in their lives and watching them overcome their past to find their way to their HEA was so good. Ms. Ferrell has created a world that will suck you in from page one and not let you go until the very end and even then, you are not free of it. The story and the characters will have you wishing you that you were there right alongside them. Loved it and can’t wait until the next in this series.

This has been the best story so far compared to the others as the storyline was shorter and didn't really have a third act break up but it did have some drama that fell a little flat and I’ll take it over the other storyline 😳

Cassidy was witty with some quick comebacks while Lincoln was similar but gave golden retriever vibes, both were suited to each other. The audiobook for this was decent, fast paced and was easy to listen to.

It was alright. High 3/low 4-star territory. The blurb had me thinking that this would go a different way, so I was somewhat disappointed by the storyline and the level of character development didn’t overcome that. There’s a significant amount of time spent on drama in the back half, so the romance felt rushed to me. I believed the lust. The love? Eh, I don’t know. There are a lot of elements to this story that I enjoyed, but they’re mixed with things that just didn’t work as well.

The story follows Lincoln and Cassidy, two strangers who feel an instant spark when they become coworkers. Cassidy is blunt about her desire to spend more time with Lincoln - in whatever way he'll have her - while Lincoln is hesitant to get involved. Recently released from prison and unsure of how Cassidy would feel if she knew, it's easier for Lincoln to keep things simple. But the outgoing and playful Cassidy makes it difficult to stay away, so Lincoln finds himself falling fast.

I loved the idea behind the blurb - a man recently out of prison, and a woman trying to stay away from bad boys. Which is perhaps why I was disappointed early on. 21-year-old Cassidy flirts with Lincoln IMMEDIATELY, calling herself his "future wife" and asking what he likes for breakfast. And Lincoln is just a guy who went to prison for a white collar crime that he didn't commit. The prison thing isn't even that big of a storyline. So, right away, I was a little off-balance. Just as I was warming up to them together, the story shifted into the drama, and that's what ultimately drops it to a 3-star rating for me. There's a lot that I liked - the playful and sexy feel, the characters, and the chemistry - but it was all overshadowed by other elements that bugged me. I'd definitely consider reading more from the author and think that this series of interconnected standalones is intriguing overall, but this wasn't a total winner for me. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sexy romance.

4.5 stars!

Straight Up is the third book in the Twisted Fox series, and I think my favourite yet. You get a glimpse of the chemistry between Lincoln and Cassidy at the end of Shaken, and I was intrigued by where their relationship would go, but their story wasn’t one I expected, one of friendship and coming to accept your past won’t dictate your future. It can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading Stirred first.

Lincoln and Cassidy both work at the Twisted Fox, with Lincoln a bartender and Archer’s brother, and Cassidy a new waitress. Both have dark moments in their pasts which they don’t want their futures to be defined by, and as the newbies in the group, strike up a friendship. From the start, Cassidy has made it clear she’s attracted to Lincoln, dropping not so subtle hints about their wedding and future hypothetical children, and Lincoln jokingly goes a long with it. But they have way more in common than they thought, and once they start opening up to one another, it’s clear that those flirty jokes are leading to more. But when someone from Cassidy’s past reappears, and begins threatening her, will she trust Lincoln enough to let him in on all her secrets, and will that be enough to keep her safe?

Lincoln and Cassidy both had moments in their past that neither of them were proud of, but accepted the consequences, either because they were deserved or because it was easier than fighting the repercussions. But because of that, they understood each other on a level that not many others did, even their families, and it meant that their initial friendship felt so much stronger and more genuine, because there was no judgement. Their friendship was such a solid foundation for their relationship, it made their connection seem so much more real because they knew each other back to front before jumping all in, warts and all.

Lincoln was loyal to a fault, and sometime that got him into trouble, with the law and those he loved. But he was so caring and kind, he knew when to just be there for Cassidy and when to fight to keep her safe, even if that wasn’t what she wanted. He tried to deny the attraction he had to Cassidy, blaming it on their age gap, but really, he didn’t have a chance fighting those feelings, and Cassidy wasn’t about to let him anyway. He just wanted to move on with his life, and he found someone he could do that with in Cassidy.

Cassidy too wanted to move on from her past, even though her future wasn’t the one she wanted. But she made the best of the situation she was in, and in the process met a man who would love her for her and who she really cared for. She didn’t trust very easily after being betrayed by someone so badly in the past. Although she was hesitant to put all her trust in Lincoln, hiding behind jokes and flirting, she soon realised she could trust him, because no matter what, he always did what was best for her.

It was so fun revisiting past characters, not only from this series but also the Bluebeech series too, especially seeing how Cassidy’s family all interact with each other now they’ve all settled down. It’s clear throughout all of their books that they are close, but the scenes in Straight Up only solidified that.

Straight Up isn’t as angsty as Shaken, but there is a suspense element which keeps you hooked in a different way over the will-they-won’t-they of a hero and heroine. It had all the steam, drama, and romance that I’ve come to expect with Charity’s writing, and some lovely light-hearted funny moments too. The Twisted Fox series keeps getting better and better, and after the bombshell dropped at the end of Straight Up, I can’t wait for Finn and Grace’s story in Chaser next!!

I am just loving this series of interconnected standalones! And it’s so much fun to see the characters from the Blue Beech series popping up in this world as well. When I got see Cassidy meet Lincoln in the previous book I loved her attitude towards him. I could not wait to see how she pursued him and how they would feel about each other. They both have messy pasts, but I think it was perfect, like they were meant to be together. Cassidy is a force not to be reckoned with, which kind of reminds me of her sister Sierra from Just Roommates in the Blue Beech series. And Lincoln is totally swoon worthy! The way he is with Cassidy throughout the whole book makes him a total book boyfriend. I also like that he was the voice of reason for his brother, Archer, in the previous book. He's got a great perspective and it really showed up a lot in his actions throughout his own story. Really, I just loved both of these two and I am glad we got their story. I think that book one, Stirred, will always be my favorite, BUT I am sincerely looking forward to book four, Chaser, with the teaser Charity Ferrell gave us at the end of this book. I have been waiting for Lincoln and Cassidy’s story since getting little glimpses of them during Shaken and there was some overlap with Shaken, too.

Cassidy and Lincoln have an instant attraction to each other and Cassidy is not afraid to admit it to Lincoln and well to anyone else that may be around. I loved the banter between the two of them and the easy going vibe that was between them. They formed an unlikely friendship and I loved those moments between the two of them. I loved how loyal Lincoln is, even if it did put him in prison. Cassidy is also loyal, but she is also very trusting and that ends up getting her into some trouble.

It’s not all smooth sailing for these two and there is plenty of angst and some drama that does come up in the story, however, it does have a HEA.

If you’re looking for a friends to lovers, angsty, workplace romance this is one to check out.

Wow! I loved this book so freaking much! Straight Up was hands down my favorite book in the Twisted Fox Series and my new favorite from Charity Ferrell.

Everything about this story was utterly compelling! My highlight though was Cassidy. That girl is a riot! She’s witty, flirty and so real! She had me laughing and smiling all throughout my read. I loved how she speaks her mind freely and isn’t afraid to use charms to ensnare Lincoln. He's the right man for her with his sexy repartees.

Their relationship evolves effortlessly from coworkers to friends to lovers. Those two are seriously the perfect fit with their amazing banter that had me cracking up one moment, swooning in the next instant, than fanning myself from their sexy encounters.

Straight Up delivers all the sweetness, sexiness and humor you’re looking for in a small town romance. The endearing group of characters only makes the enjoyment of this series even more powerful. I'm definitely highly excited about next novel featuring Grace and Finn, finally!!!

Cassidy and Lincoln's story was good twist of sugar and spice. Both are so loyal and trusting that end up the last place one wants to be, like ever, through no fault of their own. They’ve vowed to change and never backtrack but when they meet each other they know they’re about to hit a bump in the road. I adored there back and forth banter

Charity Ferrell is back with Straight Up, the third book from her Twisted Fox series which focuses on Lincoln and Cassidy’s story, those who’ve read some of Charity’s previous books will be familiar with the pair, however don’t worry Straight Up can be read as a stand-alone without you being left feeling confused but trust me after reading this you’re going to want to read the rest of Charity’s books, anyway back to my review…..

Both Lincoln and Cassidy have had a brush with the law, having paid their penance the pair are trying to move forward in their lives and are working at the Twisted Fox, Lincoln’s behind the bar and Cassidy’s doing her waitressing. From the moment the pair meet it’s clear there’s an attraction between them, a connection that grows with each day that passes. What begins with playful flirting and innuendo filled banter morphs into something deeper, stronger and more beautiful than either of them imagined, however there’s a black cloud in the form of Cassidy’s ex-boyfriend looming over their relationship, Lincoln’s in the dark at first but when the ex takes things a step too far there’s no hiding what’s been going on and Cassidy comes clean, Lincoln believes that her family deserve to know what she’s been going through and in a roundabout sort of way he shares that information, when Cassidy finds out, she feels betrayed that the man she’s been falling in love with has gone behind her back, sharing her secrets when she’d asked him not to.

Could it be all over for the new couple before they've really had a chance to begin? Will Cassidy let her ex have control over her life? What about Lincoln, there's his ex who's still in love with him, will she cause issues for the couple? And when it comes to Cassidy's ex will he use his fists and find himself back behind bars or is he smarter than that, maybe even both? Trust me you don't want to miss out on this fantastic read, with the bombshell ending that, if you’re anything like me, will leave you desperate for more.

Cassidy sees and knows what (who) she wants, and that's Lincoln. Lincoln's just out of prison for a white collar crime he didn't commit, so though he's sure he wants her back, he's also sure he's not good for her or enough for her. But as their friendship evolves, Lincoln will have to decide if he can be the man she deserves.

Cassidy and Lincoln are perfect for each other. She's so spunky and independent, with the sweetest nature. And Lincoln is easy going and a sweetheart himself. And that chemistry is SMOKIN! All in all, a great friends to lovers story.

Straight Up by Charity Ferrell is Book 3 of the Twisted Fox Series and is a delicious friends to lovers romance read.

Cassidy has to be one of my favorite female characters to date. She is sassy, spunky and outspoken. She is also hardworking, pigheaded, stubborn and loyal. All great qualities especially when it comes to the (good) crazy that is the Twisted Fox world. From the first time we see her to the very end, she is a breath of fresh air and makes reading this book a pleasure.

Lincoln is both a complicated and straightforward character (if that even makes sense!). Imprisoned for a white colar crime (he did not commit) and recently released, he his working hard to find himself and start fresh. His quiet strength and sense of loyalty are admirable and his smoking hot body, drool worthy and that’s all before we add sexy Cassidy to the mix.

I absolutely loved the witty banter and general quirkiness between Lincoln and Cassidy. Their attraction was palpable and the chemistry, smoking - making this a thoroughly enjoyable romance read. If you’re looking for a sweet and sexy, friends to lovers romance with a fantastic group of friends to stir the pot, then Straight Up is the perfect choice for you. TBR and Enjoy!

Y’all let me just go ahead and get this out of the way. Cassidy is the best! She’s one of those heroines that I liked immediately. She’s spunky, blunt, yet down to earth and fun. Lincoln. Man oh man, Lincoln was the best.

My favorite part about the book was the fact that these two did not play games. Cass straight up told Lincoln that they would be together and Linc just took it in stride. I loved that! Their easy banter and sexy chemistry was only a small fraction that made them great.

Another amazing thing I loved about the books is that we get to see characters from two different series. It’s pretty cool seeing all these faces. The characters are like best friends I get to visit with every book. To say I’m ready for Grace and Finn’s book is an understatement!

Overall, this was a fun read! If you haven’t read the series yet, I envy you. I’d love to read these again for the first time. But I’m mighty excited for the next two books in the series!

Having picked up other books in the Twisted Fox world i've been looking so forward to jumping back in! So as soon as i found out about this audiobook i knew i had to start listening to it next! I got into it as soon as i could and got right back into this world! I enjoyed this listen and third installment!

This was my first time listening to Alexander Cendese and he was so great! Savannah Peachwood is one of my favorite narrators and it was awesome to listen to her once again! I truly enjoyed what both of these narrators brought to this story as Lincoln and Cassidy!

Lincoln and Cassidy's journey was quick to get my attention right from their very first meeting! I really liked how i wasn't sure what all to expect in their story and getting to dig deeper with them. I so enjoyed the chemistry between these two as well!

With Straight Up, Ms.Ferrell has created such a good story! I'm so looking forward to picking up the other installment in this series that i haven't yet which is Shaken! I also can't wait to listen to more of Alexander Cendese's and Savannah Peachwood's narration soon!

This book was provided by the author through Wildfire Marketing Solutions in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Charity Ferrell and Wildfire Marketing Solutions!

Straight Up is the third book in the Twisted Fox series and tells the story of Cassidy and Lincoln. Although this is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.

A bond stronger than a diamond, shaped from friendship to intimacy.

Straight Up was such an amazing Romance read and I couldn’t get enough of Cassidy and Lincoln. It was really hard to put this book down because I really enjoyed reading about Cass and Lincoln, I think they’re so funny together. There were many times that I laughed out loud.

I think it was so funny that from the moment Cassidy saw Lincoln, she immediately said that she wanted to have him. I really loved her for that because she knew what she wanted and she tried her best to get him. Lincoln, on the other hand, was kinda stupid… But I still liked him. Cass and Lincoln are just so perfect together and I enjoyed reading about them.

Straight Up was yet another great read by Charity Ferrell. I really enjoyed her Blue Beech series, and the Twisted Fox series is amazing too. I love seeing some characters from the Blue Beech series in the Twisted Fox series again. I really recommend both series and I cannot wait to read the next book in the Twisted Fox series, Chaser!

Finally getting Lincoln’s story and it was everything we needed! After getting to know a little bit about not only Lincoln but also his family in his brother’s book, I was excited to get to hear his side of things. Cassidy has always been a big flirt and even naïve in some ways, but when her boyfriend gets her mixed up in a bad situation and causes her whole world to turn upside down, she realizes the world isn’t what it seems and takes a hard look at things. When these two meet, it’s instant chemistry especially with Cassidy’s personality, and over time she wears Lincoln down to get to know each other and take a chance. Not only do they develop a relationship, but they also develop a great friendship between them that really shows both of their personality and character. It was crazy how everyone else made assumptions but these two know the real reason behind things, and when Lincoln goes alpha male towards Cassidy when he finds out what happened to her, she has strong feelings due to her independence, although she finally realizes where he was coming from. I loved these two characters as well as their love story, and I can’t get enough of this series. I love Charity’s style of writing and her books are great reads. I can’t wait for the next Twisted Fox installment!

I really enjoy this series as much as her Blue Beech series. So when I found out this book was going to be about Linclon who is Archers brother and who was just released from prison for a crime he didn‘t commit I was very excited to read it. Sadly I was a bit disappointed in the story.

The blurb promises an amazing story between a recent ex-felon and a girl who doesn‘t need a bad boy. The story started out really good. I enjoyed both characters alot and didn‘t mind Cassidy‘s bluntness and eagerness to get Lincoln to be hers.

Sadly in the second half of the book when the drama with the pasts started I got a bit annoyed with Cassidy. She was portrayed to be a blunt, strong women but on the other hand she was very shy and fearful of her past which I could understand to a point. Lincoln‘s prison time was more or less brushed under the rug which I would‘ve liked to be explored a bit better.

Otherwise the book was good. I‘m still excited to read the next one and the next one. Charity‘s writing is easy to read and I enjoy it alot.

Lincoln will do anything for those he loves which is both something to be admired and cursed. It is because of this he found himself in jail and now that he has been released he wants a fresh start and the first step is his bartending job which brings Cassidy into his life.

Cassidy is outgoing, spontaneous and usually acts first and thinks second. After her last relationship got her in trouble with the law you would think she would be cautious about letting another man into her life but she is undaunted and isn’t shy about letting her co-worker Lincoln know how she feels.

The interactions between Cassidy and Lincoln were fun and flirty and although they did have their challenges it was only because they cared too much not because they didn’t care enough. I enjoyed getting to know Lincoln and Cassidy and catching up with all the other characters we know and love is always a hoot!

This is book 3 in the series and it doesn't disappoint! Charity is writing amazing stories in this series, don't miss this one! 5 stars!

We've met Lincoln and Cassidy, now we get their story! Lincoln served time for protecting his father, Cassidy got community story for something she didn't do.

Cassidy is as upfront with her wishes as anyone, she's hysterical, but is also hiding something. She wants Lincoln, and she doesn't hide that. Lincoln doesn't think he's good enough for her because of his past. Watch as these two become the best of friends, and open up to each other. You will love these two, while getting an update on other characters from the Twisted Fox!

Can't wait for the next book in this series!

This series just gets better and better. I have been waiting for Lincoln and Cassidy’s story since Shaken.

Right from the beginning of this book, I know I'd loved Cassidy. She is independent, outspoken, and always going after what she wants. She is absolutely perfect for Lincoln. I loved the banter between them! I loved the amazing friendship they had before it developed into something more. It was so sweet to see how it unfolds. Lincoln is a big teddy bear underneath that rough exterior. He's so loyal. Both of them had major trust issues which makes it easy for them to understand each other.

The love they have is what makes this book so amazing. You won't be able to put it down because their story will keep you guessing. I am very much looking forward to Finn and Grace’s story.

Straight Up by Charity Ferrell was fun, steamy and a bit angsty. Lincoln and Cassidy have an instant connection when they meet. I loved their flirty banter and easy way they had with each other. But you knew it could not be that easy. They both have history they are trying to move forward from, but what if that history does not want to let you go? Lincoln was hesitant at first, but she pulls at him. Cassidy was strong and determined. I loved them together, but they had to find their way and I devoured their story. I am loving this series and cannot wait for more!

My first thoughts when reading Lincoln and Cassidy’s story was that they heavily reminded me of Maliki and Sierra, in the best of ways. Their love story was unique and I loved the outside aspects helping them grow together. It definitely did not go in the direction I expected it to, but I loved it. Cassidy has Sierra’s spunky personality, telling her mind and teasing her crush. It was nice to get to see more about Lincoln after hearing about him from everyone else’s perspectives.
