Technical and detailed. Too much so for the average reader but a good reference book.

This is the first book I read that exposed me to the similarities in Genesis to other creations accounts and purposes for which the book was written by the ancient Jews. I read it almost seven years ago and am reading it again. It is fascinating for me to see how the Genesis rivals the the creation account of the Babylonian's Enuma Elish. It is like wathcing a culture war between to beliefs. Great read.
