Things are heated with the Video Game Agents and that's putting it lightly.
Not only have Max and Zoe, new recruits to the VGA, gotten themselves kicked off the crew, they discovered their missing mother isn't so missing after all—and she's enemy number one of the agency.
What. Is. Going. On?!
Their ship/sister (yeah, it's weird) has a lead on where their mom might be. But are they experienced enough to get to her? Do they even want to?
I mean, what kid doesn't. But what if she really is the bad guy? Could they fight against their own flesh and blood?
Pixel Ate is actually a team! We’re a mom and dad, who live in the Pacific Northwest. We have five kids ages 10 all the way down to 1. We don’t like to brag, but we think our kids are pretty great.
We live on a little bit of land that we’re slowly turning into a farm. We like having lots of space outside to run and play and we’re excited to fill it with some animals. Yay for goats!
Everyone in our family loves reading—well, the baby loves chewing on books—so we thought, why not write our own stories? It’s super fun creating worlds and characters and adventures and even more fun when we know other people are enjoying them. Plus, it’s extra special when our kids get to help. We really did have a cat named Bruce Lee the Scar-Faced Ninja Attack Kitty From Japan (Who Smells Like Poop) who got himself into all kinds of sticky situations, but sadly, he is no longer with us. He truly was a great kitty and he truly did fart a lot. Now we have an equally great kitty named Tater Tot and she is a lot less stinky, but just as loved.
Once they entered the game it felt a little fast paced, like, the whole book they were just rushing through the temples. It might have been better if there were more details. Was like they did this, oh, and they did this, Max did a thing. It would be better if it was a little longer and they did more things.
Can you add more of these AWSOME (every once in a while misspelled) books? It always disappoints me when I finish a series and it leaves me at a cliffhanger and I have to start a whole new series, with a whole new plot line, usually not having as AMAZING of a plot line as these awesome, luckily always connected to The Accidental Minecraft Family. Need more.
As I said in the title, anticlimactic. It didn't have a ton of build-up, the final fight was way too easy, and they got through everything too quickly. It's an incredible idea though, if tended more carefully, it would have been an absolute dub.
