About the author

Angela Sommer-Bodenburg is the author of a number of fantasy books for children. Her most famous contribution to the field of children's fantasy is "The Little Vampire" series which has sold over 10 million copies and has been translated into over 30 languages. Sommer-Bodenburg states that her "vampire is not a bloodthirsty monster, however, but an affectionate little vampire with fears and foibles who will perhaps help free children of their own fears." The novel, written in 1979, spawned a series of books, and the plot has been adapted to theatre, radio, cinema, and television. A Canadian-German TV series was released in 1986 and a film version, directed by Uli Edel was released in 2000.

Anton now often goes to the psychologist, who happens to have a patient that seems to be a vampire - and he might be able to help vampires go out into the sun! A few other smaller things happen in this book, but it's honestly not much of a plot.

While the stories have remained the same, the illustrator has changed. Unfortunately, the illustrations look pretty amateurish and don't in any way suit the nature of the stories. I'm still going to finish the series as my end-of-year project, but it won't be the same.

Ein Teil der für mich wieder etwas spannender und auch lustiger ist. Ich find außerdem super das die Handlungen seit einigen Bücher mehr ineinander übergehen.
Anton ist wie immer eigentlich ziemlich frech aber eben auch ziemlich clever. Rüdiger ist selbstsüchtig aber unterhaltsam und ganz eigentlich sind Anna und Anton bessere Freunde als Rüdiger und Anton.
Antons Eltern sind planlos wie immer.

En esta ocasión nos narra como Antón va al psicólogo y se encuentra allí con un paciente especial… otro vampiro.
En la línea de todos los libros de la autora, ideal para Niños y muy ameno.

It’s unlikely that casual fans of the series, unless they had already bought all the books (as I have) would venture much farther beyond this book. The illustrations are far inferior to earlier books in this series and the plot seems to lead to nowhere.

Das erste Mal, dass ich eines der Bücher gelesen habe. Ich mochte die kanadische Serie als Kind sehr sehr gerne (Ach Lumpi *schmacht*). Dieses Buch hat mich jetzt allerdings nicht so überzeugt. Irgendwie fand ich die Figuren alle eher ein wenig nervig.

A nice story but a little blander than usual. Who is the mystery patient? Why does he never speak? Why do the other vampires not know him at all? No answers to all of these questions.

Tony’s psychologist suspects one of his patients is a vampire and wants Tony to contact his vampire friends so the psychologist can cure them of them “phobia of sunlight.”

What an unexpected direction this series is going in. Fun as always.

ESTE... Dios, este fue mi favorito, de entre todos este fue el mejor para mi... Si ya amaba a Rudiger, a Anna y Anton, en ese momento los amé más. Me parece que también aparece Lumpi en este, es uno de mis vampiros favoritos.
