Poetični portreti ljudi koji su neshvatljivo izgubljeni, ovdje ugrubo okarakterizirani u kvaziunutarnjim monolozima. Na vrlo slabašnom tragu Faulknera, ali s puno manje tankoćutnosti, novela se lako čita, posebice kada zavodi.
