This was a pretty chill read. The imagery and the subject matter of the poems was just really enjoyable to read, especially considering how like brain-power-requiring "Night Sky with Exit Wounds" was, this was just a collection I could kind of sink into. I fell into the imagery and just chilled.
I particularly liked "You Call This Rain", as it just made me so damn nostalgic about how I used to sit in my grandmother's living room with the lights turned off, wearing valenki and some woolly socks, cuddling a big German Shepherd, and listening to thunder so violent shit literally shook on the shelves. Ah, the ol' days on the lands of Mother Russia.
Anyway, if you want a chill read with pretty imagery and words about nature and people's relationship with the environment, I recommend.
