I was looking for some new non-fiction books to read when I stumbled upon this among the free books on Amazon that day. It sounded interesting so I grabbed it. I am really glad I did as I found this book very helpful and informative. It reads easily and it to the point with lots of information and tips on how to increase your self esteem. My only complaint is that at times it could've used a bit more formatting or headings to make it more clear when the author was switching to a new point or exercise.

All in all I would definitely recommend it if you want to know more about self esteem, what influences it and how to increase it. It had a lot of great tips and ideas and the writing style was pleasant and encouraging. The author gives the reader lots of ideas to try and I like dreading through it and seeing which ideas resonated with me.

I found this book very good and the reason for this is mostly that I had positive feelings during it and you could feel the intention to help and the competence in it this time as well.
This is the third book I have read by the author and I dare to say that I was not disappointed neither this time.
Just like the author's previous book that I read, 'How to Genuinely Love Yourself', as well as the one before it, which is about anger management, this book is also rich in detail, well-crafted and really feels good to read. Clean and clearly worded sentences, free of excessive professional expressions, a writing that is easy for everyone to understand. From the eight main chapters, we can learn, for example, what the relationship is between self-esteem, self-acceptance and self-love, where self-doubt originates. We can also find great exercises that help to develop a positive mindset or even we can reduce our perfectionism by applying them. In addition to these, the book contains a lot of useful material, knowledge and implementation of which, I believe, can result in positive changes for everyone who needs it.
In the end of my review, I would just like to add that I recommend this book to everyone who really want have a stronger self-esteem. If you want to understand the processes taking place in you a little better and if you want to handle every day challenges with more courage this book was written for you.

This is love

I have been reading this book for the last 4 days, and it is explained in the beginning the content of this book is intended for every person looking for self-esteem equilibrium, to improve their life, and achieve their goals. The author shares her story, which is why I felt identified with this book. On the other hand, I perceived Marcee A Martin as a person who loves to help, she speaks from her experience after years of low self-esteem. How high or low self-esteem can impact our goals, and the way we see ourselves. To start with people with high self-esteem may be affected by that internal perfectionism, they live in fear of failing. With positive psychology, you can learn true love, and compassion to silence your inner critic. My perspective is this a friend that goes through the path with you, healing you by accepting your weaknesses, by accepting your self the way it is. I accept that my weight my be one of my weaknesses, but that person in not me, I love my body the way it is. I only have to work in my weakness to achieve my goal, to reflect true into the mirror. I liked the ways it taught me that I need to have more positive self talk, but I was most surprised by something that I wasn't looking for. I am a perfectionist, like many insecure people, but my problem was that I expect too much of other people. I did not realize that I had unrealistic expectations of other people, and once I realized that, I became more forgiving and I try to tell myself that my thoughts about how someone should act is often not possible. It has really helped me in the way I see other people

Healing book

Unfortunately a few years ago I had a relationship that lowered my self-esteem and now I’m trying to start a new relationship with another person. However, my lack of self-esteem is affecting both of us. This book helped me heal many wounds and love myself over anything else.

It was more of an educational book thank a workbook

I truly thought it was going to be a workbook in the truest fashion of what a workbook ought to be, it has some exercises sprinkled here and there, but otherwise it truly wasn’t a beneficial read. It was the same compiled portrayal of “self care” tips a person finds online, nothing insightful from a therapeutic standpoint.
