Happy and Glorious: A Celebration of the Life of HM Queen Elizabeth II

Rate this book
Robin Nunn has travelled with the Queen for over 20 years. Granted exceptional access to the Royal family he has taken some of the most enduring official and informal images of Her Majesty ever photographed. They capture an unusual naturalness and ease combined with the dignity appropriate to royal occasions. Whatever and whenever they were taken, these magnificent pictures have in common that each shows the humour and pleasure that the Queen takes in her daily encounters with people all over the world. It is there for all to see in her justly famed charming and dazzling smile. Together with the text featuring real life accounts of the pleasure and joy experienced by members of the public when they have met the Queen, Happy and Glorious is a unique tribute from the people, in words and pictures, to Her Royal Majesty in the year of her 80th birthday.

I am giving this a 4 stars because for me I would have lked I guess a little more pictures of when she was younger. But I enjoyed the pictures and the stories and in many ways wish I could have seen her once. I don't know what it means when I think some of her outfits were lovely and thinking I would wear them even if I was not at her age. I guess i have a old soul.
