For as long as I can remember, my future’s been planned for me. Enlist in the military at eighteen. Train for special teams. Be chosen for the elite protection squad of the Royal Guard.
I’ve never questioned my path in life… Until the Princess Royal asks me to take her v-card.
I shouldn’t even consider her proposal.
Not only is she my best friend’s sister, but I’m mere weeks away from being sworn into the Royal Guard.
Can I put my integrity and future on the line for just one night with her?
Find out today in Forbidden Proposal, a prequel to T.K. Leigh’s Broken Crown Trilogy.
T.K. Leigh, otherwise known as Tracy Leigh Kellam, is the USA Today Bestselling author of the Beautiful Mess series, in addition to several other works. Originally from New England, she now resides outside of Raleigh with her husband, beautiful daughter, three cats, and special needs rescue dog.
When she’s not writing she can be found training for her next marathon (of which she has run over twenty fulls and far too many halfs to recall), having impromptu dance parties with her daughter, or planning her next trip to parts unknown.
If this is the first book to read in this series, then it's a great introduction. However, I had already read the first book when I discovered this one. I thought it would be something different like when Creed goes off into the military. Instead, it's just the first 12 chapters in book one of the series.
This is a great prequel and really gives you a taste of what is to come when we get Creed and Esme’s full story.
The Royal household has decided who Esme is to marry and she feels suffocated by the life that she has to live.
Knowing that she is tied by the powers that be in the Royal Family, Princess Esme wants to control at least one thing in her life, who she chooses to give her virginity to.
The only thing is, she wants her brother’s best friend to be the one to help her and they have both secretly wanted each other for a long while.
Will they be able to keep their distance if they do decide to share this experience or is it going to all come to ahead! I will be glad to find out what happens in their story.
A great prequel that has me wanting more! Esme thought she would be able to marry for love but she has just found out that being royal means she doesn't get a say but she is determined to at least get a choice in who will be her first. Creed is about to be sworn in as a Royal Guard and the Princess is definitely off limits. This is a beautiful story with a steamy conclusion. I can't wait to see what happens in Royal Creed.
Esme's life that she has now, was not the one she was supposed to lead. Being several down in line to the throne she could have a relatively normal life. When her uncle and his family are all killed at the same time, that queue to the throne becomes very short and Esme finds herself second behind her brother. As such, her life is bring mapped out for her by the royal family - not where she wants to be at all! She wants to take back some control.
This is where Creed, her brother's friend comes in. She knows she can trust him, but will he help her. If he does, what will be the consequences? 🤔
Wow! I like T.K. Leigh’s stories and this prequel is setting up what I think will be another great one! Esme is one of two heirs to the throne and after her humanitarian work and schooling is being forced into a marriage. She has always liked Creed, her brother’s best friend and a member of the royal guard. This prequel was really good laying the foundation and giving us one hot night they won’t forget.
This prequel was absolutely fantastic. Very well written and a good start to what I expect will be an amazing book in Royal Creed. Steamy and forbidden desire in a Royal family with a Royal guard. It's in line with the Dating Games series, but the series doesn't need to be read prior to starting this series.
I loved this prequel! What can you say about this over the top beginning. Esme and Creed have been friends since they were children. Her father and grandmother have chosen a very wealthy guy to marry because they want her to produce an heir to become the future king. Same knows that Creed can never be in her future, but she wants him. Cannot wait to see what happens!
This is a teaser for the next book. Not sure that the next book will be interesting enough to read. This just seems so out there and if you ask me, somewhat depressing- if royals have their life completely planned and can’t make any decisions, what is life worth? Just being a chess piece. That’s just sad.
T.K. did it again, leaving us on the edge wondering what will happened between Esme and Creed. Will they get together or will she be forced to a life of unhappiness with Jameson?
This story can only get better in the books to come. This spin off will be a big hit. My love for this author just continues to grow with every book and series she writes.
I love everything T.K. writes... and this was no exception! She brings her characters to life! You feel the need to keep reading, you want to keep reading... never wanting their story to end! I can't wait to read the rest of Creed and Esme's story!
What an awesome prequel, short but covers it all. Friends, yet their feelings were not very friendly, but royal doesn't get to choose whom their with. Sadly choice is made for them. Loved this ❤️
Short little story that introduces us to Creed and Esme. We meet Princess Esme and her future is being made for her. But in comes Creed and wow, the steam between these two. It's a short read but it's a great precursor to their trilogy.
Just a glimpse of Creed and Esme's story and what an exciting way to start. I can't wait to dive deeper into these two 😍. Hold on tight I think T.K. Leigh is going to take us on a bumpy ride.
Holy moly, the Broken Crown Trilogy is going to be one wild ride. Esme and Jamieson are a given but the behind the door Esme and Creed is "freaking hot". A royal love triangle and I am here for it!
Forbidden Proposal is one of the best prequels I have ever read. It is a teaser on steroids. The teaser roped me in. The story grabbed me. The Anticipation for the release of Royal creed grows.
I became so invested in Ezme and Creed. I fumed in her defense. My heart broke for her. My heart bled for Creed. I wanted to reach in the pages and hug Andrew, Esme's big brother.
They have no voice. They have no choice. Wait until to you see how controlling some can be. Ezme is just a pawn in the game of royal life. As I write this review, I am on the edge of my seat. Those in power are demanding Ezme and Jameson. I want Ezme to be happy. She is such a likable character. Other characters are the exact opposite. I can't wait to see who, if anyone, comes to Esme's defense.
