This was a really great beginner book! It covered the essentials and basics of palm readings. I loved all of the diagrams but I wish there had been more, it's easier to learn with more visual examples.

Since I'm a professional astrologer, clearly I'm not a skeptic of such things as palmistry, I just never felt inclined to investigate it. Then I was down the YouTube rabbit hole and saw a video that mentioned having an "M" on your hand meant something. Intrigued, I watched several videos, then decided to get a book. This is an excellent intro for beginners. It provides a reasonably detailed overview of the basics that will leave you either satisfied or wanting to know more.

For me, it was the latter. It's amazing that not only your palm but the shape of your hand, length of your fingers, and even fingerprints tell a lot about our talents, interests, temperament, and who you are. I was impressed since this information complements what astrology reveals, placing me on the path to learn it well enough to practice it. This book served as an excellent introduction to prepare me for more advanced texts.

I'm doing research for work, and I was impressed by this book. Webster goes into a lot of detail but is still really readable. He's a good, engaging writer who's clearly very versed in the other literature of palmistry. I'm not sure how "beginner" friendly this book really is, because you'd need to memorize so much to even do a rudimentary palm reading, if you wanted to adhere to the lore of it. But after reading this, I feel like I have a good background in the art form and what its basic tenets are.

This is a book intended for people with little or no knowledge of Palmistry. I read this book, driven by the curiosity to interpret my own hands. It is a very basic book, touching on various aspects (shape of the hand, fingers, lines, and mounts) in a basic and somewhat superficial manner. As a result, it has little (or insufficient) focus on the different aspects, particularly the lines, which were the aspect that most intrigued me. It was a reading that did not satisfy me, but it may be useful for someone who is starting out in this field. Three stars.

I loved this book.. My friend Sara and I read eachother's palms and it was so neat. I especially like the way the drawings show you several different ways that the lines, bumps, and wrinkles of your hand can go different ways and has the reading for those..lol.. we had a great time. I would totally like to purchase this and do readings on others.

Very interesting book written by a very interesting person.
Beware, the author's passion is contagious-and I got infected! As a result, at some point in foreseeable future, I'm definitely going to research this subject further-despite the fact that I don't even believe in the legitimacy of this practice!

I have read many of Richards books & this is no different to any other book of his. It is a book that has been well written by someone who knows his topic & how to teach it to others.
As the title suggests, this is not aimed at the experienced palm reader, but at those who want to learn the basics.

Wonderful book ! Just what is required at beginners level… doesn’t bog you down with too much information… has clearer illustrations and at the end two palm prints are read completely… also it has dedicated chapter where all things are put in one place on the matters of looking into money, success, carriers and relationships… overall great book….

This was such a great find at one of my favorite alt book stores! Buried in the secondhand section of sQecial (a quirky Lexington book & gift shop), Palm Reading for Beginners by Richard Webster was totally worth the $6 splurge. As you all know, I love the occult/ metaphysics/ new age books, so this just had to come home with me.

It's a fast read, but Webster packs a lot of information into the reference, including the history behind the palm lines and their meanings. Each chapter is broken down to describe the hands, and diagrams to match. It makes it easy for the reader to follow along, and the information is simple and digestible- for all those worried about the "woo-woo" factor. As a perfectionist, I wish there was even more information in the diagrams for clarification, but as a general book for beginners, I found it very easy to understand the text and images.

I think for maximum understanding, you'd have to read this guide repeatedly until you were very familiar with all the palm lines and their meanings, before you could go read palms without it (unless you have a photographic memory). So I wouldn't expect to be a professional at the end of the book. But for someone looking to be a palm reader at a Halloween party, this is perfect.

astrolgy,seances, tarot, runes, angel readings, channeling , i ching, signs and omens, spells and incantations, (affirmations) - writers foibles ! internet time wasters. Grifters.
1/ the future is in the palm of your hand when channeling ones own inner spirit in a healthy manner.
2/ readings from the palm of a hand is the most truest form of giving foresight and hindsight. From past and future events. Just from the palm of a persons hand. jmo/ just my experience !

Really fun to read and to kill some time with friends. Full of concepts to remember, explained easily with images. It would have been better if there were more images, but still, good job!
