If you really suck at Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and don't even know what this title is about, please do yourself a favor, get a copy of this book, stop reading my comment and start reading this book.
Well, if you are still reading this second paragraph of my comment, then you really would like to know what this book is about. Ok, then let me put it in a few simple words for you.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a profession and a set of fabulous skills that will help you improve your website ranking in a search engine. There are so many little things that go into a website and search engine optimization, very technical things, and you need to know them in order to attract visitors to your website. So, if you read this book, you will have a better understanding of what I am talking about. And seriously, Mr.Peter Kent, the author, has done a tremendous job explaining and demystifying SEO in his book with nice separate chapters and step by step explanation.
So, please save yourself some time. Get a copy of this book. Read it, re-read it, and proof read and go to your website, apply your skills and enjoy your search engine ranking.

If you’re looking for a good book about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) – than you should definitely read this one, because this book offer so many value and even if you’re not an expert and have superficial knowledge about SEO, you can see that this book is written by a professional. I was looking for a good book about SEO because I needed to learn more about it, so I can do proper improvements on my Blog in order to improve rankings and get more visitors to it.
The book is fairly long, and you might want to read it and using chapter by chapter in order to check out your site and work on improvements and then continuing on the next chapter. I have to say that I was familiar with SEO because I did read a lot about it online, and I read couple of other books; but everything seems like information are lacking, and this book confirm that. Here is everything laid out in good order, how to detect problem(s), and how to work on fixing those problems(s).

I thought this book did a good job of introducing SEO, how it works, and exactly what steps to take to implement it effectively on your website. That being said, it seems to assume you're building your site yourself from the ground up with no assistance, so large swaths of it (like the backend stuff that's handled by my website provider) were not useful to me. I took a lot of notes on the relevant sections, though, and I'll be using what I learned to get my website SEO up to snuff for 2024!

Dieses Buch hat mir sehr dabei geholfen meine Webseite zu pushen, vor allem die Unterseite Skijacke Damen Sale hat davon sehr profitiert. Das Buch ist einfach geschrieben und so für Jedermann (auch Anfänger) verständlich. Ich kann dieses Buch nur weiterempfehlen, da es mir sehr geholfen hat Ordnung und Struktur einzubringen.

I found this as an okay "Theory Book". Actual implementation either be mastered by watching youtube videos (initially) and then by actual practice on your website. I think, if you want to pass theory then go for it, if not then Youtube.

September 5, 2020This book is insane. It put me on the road of SEO back in the days. Use it as a reference and backgrounder of anything related to search engine optimization if you are new to the field. See if there are new editions as 2004 ed is no more updated.

As an SEO expert myself, I really enjoyed this book.
It was packed with knowledge and very nearly up-to-date too.
Would recommend for anyone in marketing or IT as this is a very wide-spread important area of knowledge.
A lot of this book I already knew, but it was good to review it!

I've read both the 5th and 7th edition and both were excellent. While AI is changing the AI landscape (and not covered in this book) SEO for Dunmies provides the solid foundational information that is still needed for SEO (at as of January 2025)

From basic search techniques to how to submit your site to the search engines, this is a book that does not scrimp on the things that need to be done to make your SEO work effective. I recently tried to explain SEO to my sister by saying that Google was like a librarian that talks to a lot of people about what they're looking for. Not the greatest analogy, and I think Peter Kent makes a better job of simplifying SEO in this book.
Although aimed at n00bs, I think you could launch a pretty decent SEO campaign just based on Kent's advice. Nicely laid out, it's easy to skim-read, but there's interesting additional information if you're prepared to put more time into reading it. Kent also has a good sense of humour, which is always a plus.

If you are looking to learn Search Engine Optimization from the ground up this is the book for you. Complete with images and BIG text for those like me with an attention span not worth bragging about. Great book. I tend not to read too many books about technology but this one was really good for centralizing all of the links I need and telling me why I need them. Each section is short and to the point. Useful for working on projects in a short amount of time. Good reference book to keep around.

Overall, it gives a thorough introduction to SEO. However, a lot of the links and resources in the book is totally outdated. You cannot find those websites anymore.
