Early in this volume, the king--whose name is difficult to remember because it parses like no name I'm familiar with--kidnaps Raeliana, for no reason that I could fathom. Never mind that. Now that she's in the palace, she can get acquainted with the nobles whose relations and intentions Noah is interested in learning. Maybe he talked about his plans earlier in the series, but as usual, it had been awhile since I read v. 2, so I had no recollection of it.
As I've mentioned in regards to a number of other stories by now, comics and otherwise, I can't be arsed to remember every single noble or royal in real history. There's no way on earth I'll do that for fictional people, especially when they, like the king, have names it's sometimes difficult to wrap my mind around. And none of them have a significant presence in the story, never mind anything that would let me know what their personalities are like, aside from "mean girls."
In any case, Raeliana manages to escape from the king's come-down-to-it comfy imprisonment in a scene that I found rather charming. Of course, she manages to get the king on her side before her exit.
Our leads are finally, genuinely starting to warm to each other, the fake love making steps toward becoming a real one. I like that a lot.
Late in this volume, we find out why Raeliana met the high priest, in plot terms. It's basically so she can . I always appreciate it when one of these stories acknowledges that maybe, just maybe, there might be downsides to reincarnating.
One or two of the isekai I've read have floundered as their heroine's situation inevitably improves. She wins the hearts of everyone (or perhaps more accurately, of all the men), or gains the upper hand in the nobles' pecking order, or something else, decreasing the tension and sense of risk. This one feels like it's getting stronger as it goes along, to me, mainly because of Beatrice's still lurking in the background, and Raeliana and Noah's budding romance.
The beleaguered underlings (of which there are at least two or three) are fun, too. Considering what I've seen of their personalities, Vivian and the king could be a fun couple, but we've seen next to nothing of their interactions in these last couple of volumes.
I've got another couple of these, and my interest in reading them has increased after reading this volume. But 500 pages of any given comic is about as much as I can enjoy at a time, so off we go to something else.

In all respects, Beatrice is the leading lady. Not Raeliana. I don't want to take a risk blinded by some fantasy that I can overcome fate.For a leading lady, Beatrice is sure avoiding the spotlight.

WHY DID IT END THAT WAY?!?!?! THAT WAS SUCH A HORRIBLE CLIFFHANGER!! And volume five doesn't come out until NOVEMBER?! UGHHHHHHH!
Besides that horrible cliffhanger that should not even be a thing, this was a wonderful volume! The most noticing thing to me personally is that while I really disliked Grandpa in the previous volume, I enjoyed him so much more in this volume! He's really coming well into his role as "Grandpa" and especially loved that moment he and Raeliana have at the end.
I don't know why no one in the community on Twitter is talking about Noah's brother because what a character! He's just as fun as Noah even if at the same time I'm like STOP GETTING BETWEEN OUR COUPLE!
But honestly, he's not the only one to blame because there were plenty of things that are coming between our main couple and I am NOT here for it. *cries* I understand the choices that Raeliana is making, but girl think of all the times about Noah and the love you have for him. I know for me that the entire scene where they reunited was absolutely amazing! It was super sweet and had my heart swooning.
Which makes the ending that more upsetting! *sobs*

This volume confirms what anime watchers may have suspected: the first three volumes were mostly set up. Good set up, but still. Now things start really heating up, with Raeliana admitting that even she's not dumb enough to think Noah isn't falling for her, Noah's brother taking an interest in his brother's fiancee, and Vivian's brother Justin gearing up to cause some romance problems. Even more important, , which is unsettling, to say the least. With Heika having noticed something odd about Raeliana and her clock tower-triggered fainting fit, things are really heating up.

Monthly Reading Wrap Up (Review)

One of the best isekai manga/manhwa I've read so far! Explanation to the transgression was understandable, with the explanation allowing us to understand the motive behind the antagonist. 10/10 female lead, with an exceptional cast. The author was really good at balancing both seriousness of the plot but also allowing moments for fluff and humor.
No miscommunication anywhere -- I don't think I felt any annoyance in this series that I felt frustrated at the characters themselves. Aside from the minor subplot of Justin SHAMALL (always gotta cap his last name because he's sMAlL 💀) that had me rolling my eyes at the character depiction. But he did pave the way for the two leads to ✨communicate✨ so I'll forgive him for that.
Love that Noah is the definition of burn the world down for Raeliana 🥰 That's my kind of ML.
Special stories were pretty cute, with some wrap ups. Absolutely LOVED the ending 🥹 He'll find her in the next lifeime!

4⭐️ raeliana is a little uh… how do i put this… dense? determined to see to a fate that doesn’t exist anymore? delulu? not sure exactly but it annoyed me towards the end. that said, the preview for vol 5 looked awesome

This was so cute to see Noah’s brother hazing Raeliana and theme meeting all of these new characters. I’m so glad she finally has someone to confide in now that the high priest knows her secret. I can only imagine the jealousy and chaos that is going to ensue in the next volume.

Raeliana no se da cuenta de que si ya ha cambiado el destino de su personaje por tanto puede hacerlo también el resto de la historia? Entiendo las reticencias cuando conoces la historia, pero si el factor clave para que comience la historia ha cambiado, tiene que hacerlo el resto. Claramente se quieren los dos🥲
Los momentos "¿Como no iba a saberlo?" ❤️ están hechos el uno para el otro.

No termino de fiarme de Justin...no sé
No me esperaba que Raeliana tuviera esa conversación con el sacerdote, me alegra que la autora tomara este rumbo, así la protagonista tiene un apoyo bastante fuerte además, en ese asunto.

Je poursuis ce webtoon papier avec grand plaisir ! Je trouve l’intrigue bien ficelée et les personnages intéressants, mais également attachants. Raeliana continue de se mouvoir dans son rôle tout en essayant de tirer son épingle du jeu. Elle sait qu’elle n’est pas l’héroïne de l’histoire et pourtant, ses sentiments pour le duc ne cessent de grandir. Mais comme elle sait que ce n’est pas avec elle qu’il est censé tomber amoureux, elle fait tout pour rester à sa place.
Mais ce n’est pas ce qu’elle souhaite. Dans cette suite, Raeliana se retrouve à devoir vivre au palais avec un roi qui est bien décidé à jouer les entremetteurs… ou pas. J’ai apprécié les efforts du duc et de Raeliana pour qu’elle puisse fuir le palais. Il y a des moments très drôles. Et j’adore le personnage de Sa Sainteté qui prend son rôle de « grand-père » très au sérieux.
Pour moi, cette série est une excellente surprise qui continue de beaucoup me plaire. Et je trouve les dessins plutôt sympas, ce qui ne gâche rien.
Voilà un quatrième tome bien à la hauteur des précédents, en tout cas, à mes yeux.

Well things are heating up for this couple. The major reasons for their contract have been fulfilled, however as the Duke states the 6 months aren't up yet.
While getting closer to each other and their feelings growing- could these fake fiancés be making this romance the real thing? There are still some major obstacles between them though- (mainly on Raeliana's side) being Beatrice (this novels FL) she is no longer away studying but seems to be in the capital, and keeping company with a possibly enemy of our leads. What exactly are her plans?
Also, Raeliana has become of interest to the King, a certain Capitan of the Guard, and the leader of the religious order. All of these meetings also coincide with her having to discover that something is wrong with her soul being inside Raeliana's body, and the search for the truth in the original bodies owner's past.

Noah's brother is chaos incarnate. And that's precisely why I like him. In other news Raeliana is so dense that it would seem that Noah has to pick up all the slack. Not that I'm complaining.
