"I will not allow any further violence toward the fluff."
Oh my goodness, this was SO much fun to read!! I truly had a blast being with Kanata and her adventures to "pet the fluff"! I caught myself laughing and smiling OFTEN when reading this, definitely making this volume exceed the happiness I was hoping to feel when reading!
There were so many things I loved about this series with probably the biggest being how supportive her family is in her new life! Despite that being a Beast Tamer is so frowned upon in this society, her parents knew how much Kanata has ALWAYS wanted to pet an animal but they seem to all hate her. So when her father suggests she becomes a Beast Tamer to help form friendships with animals, that's been her dream ever since. Even when she has the chance to be a saint, she tells those who think her pick of Beast Tamer is outlandish that her parents are rooting for her and supporting her. Even when we meet her brother and see how he reacts, it's true that her family fully supports her, which is so wonderful!
I LOVED the interactions between Zaggy and Kanata! She is just SOOOO excited to be able to pet the fluff and he's just so confused but is like "If this is part of training to help her get stronger, I'll do it!" Bahahahaha! I think it's funny that he also knows how to "manipulate" situations by using his toe beans or his fluff, though I don't think he is always purposefully trying to be manipulative. LOL!
The story itself was a lot of fun and super enjoyable! Outside of two non-graphic nude scenes, I found myself deeply loving the entire story! From the hilarious expressions, to Kanata's wayyyy above average powers, to Zaggy's fluffiness, it was so much fun!
Definitely looking forward to volume two!

A good first volume, its pretty much what I expected from the title, going to be interesting to see how the series continues

This is such a fun isekai manga about a girl, Kanata, who was very sick and hospitalized in her life, and when she passes on her one true regret is that she never got to have pets and, as she says, "pet the fluff." So she's reborn into a fantasy world, as lucky and strong in this life as she was unlucky and weak in her last one. Kanata buckles down and studies super hard because she wants to be a Beast Tamer, the profession where you pair up with monsters - also the profession nobody wants because you basically give your strength to your monster companion and you, yourself become weaker. ...I think? The world building is a bit shaky, tbh, but this manga was so fun I didn't even care that I didn't fully understand it. Regardless, Kanata is SO powerful that it doesn't seem to have much effect on her anyway (yet!)
This is extra hilarious because Kanata is the top of her class, and on profession day where most people have two or rarely three professions to choose from (a decision that is apparently permanent and you can never change), Kanata basically pops up with EVERY profession as an option - even the super ultra rare "Saint" profession. So everyone is stymied when she chooses "Beast Tamer." I LOVE that Kanata is so focused on her goal that people think of her as an "ice princess," and once she gets what she wants she basically unclenches and her real (super goofy, kinda ditzy, rather careless) personality shines through. I also LOVE her fluffy companion, and can't wait to see what develops there!

A cute transmigration story. Kanata’s first life was full of sickness, so for her second life in a magic filled world, she’s promised as much strength as she was weak before. But the only thing she wants is to pet all the fluffy animals she couldn’t before, so she sets out to become a beast tamer.
At fifteen, she attends a special school seremony where gods tell her what she will become. She’s the most gifted student ever and has all the choices, but she only wants the lowest rank, beast tamer, much to the dismay of her teachers. Not waiting for their opinion, she sets out to find all the fluff.

really adorable isekai story about a girl who was sick and hospitalized for most of her short life in our world...but was reborn as an OP prodigy in a fantasy world, with a mission to pet all the fluffy things. she ends up saving and befriending a former-demon-king-turned-cat, leading to some super cute scenes where she cuddles and takes care of him.
there are a few weird things in this volume, keeping in mind that kanata is a minor (just graduated middle school). there's a nude bathing scene and one totally unnecessary panel of goblins r*ping women (she's being warned about how dangerous the outside world is). overall though, this is mainly wholesome and I can overlook those unappealing parts.

A cute start to an isekai manga where the all-powerful reincarnation just wants to hang out and pet animals. A couple fan service scenes, one kind of out of place. But overall a fun start to a series and it will be interesting to see how it progresses.

This is a scream. I love Kanata and Zaggy! And I love that her standard response is "I worked hard". Can't wait for more of this series.
