Luckily, Hayden and her sassy sidekick, Latifa have developed a group of family and friends in this enchanted place who are all ready and willing to help solve the mystery, and release Destiny Falls to resume its normal, amazing, enchanted existence.

The Destiny Falls Hayden and all her friends get an invitation to a medieval festival - but it's on "the forbidden island." It's too enticing to pass up. Of course, strange things will happen once they get there! . . . You'll also learn the truth about the witch's sister!
The Murder A dead body shows up in the most shocking place. First, they need to figure out who this dead guy is. Then, who killed him and why. There are so many twists and turns on the way to the answers! But we know that Hayden, Latifa, and their family and friends will figure it out and justice will be served.

Old Bones and Ice Cream Cones follows the series format of combining two stories that blend into one. A murder mystery and the island mystery.
The Destiny Falls Hayden’s boyfriend Han is missing. But she swears she saw him zoom by in his car. She’d thought it was a surprise, and that he was home early from his secret service case. She was wrong. The surprise is that his signal isn’t pinging, and no one knows where he is. There appears to be black magic behind his disappearance. Can they learn who’s responsible and bring Han safely home?
The Murder A pile of old bones is found in an ancient fishing boat. They could be tied to the disappearance of two young women years ago, back when many of the Destiny Falls people where in high school. Many of the citizens had bad history with the missing students. Do the bones belong to them, and what happened? Were the they murdered? And could the murderer be living among them?

Oh wow! I don't normally read books in a series straight after each other because I like to read something in between, so as to not confuse the story lines but that was so not the case with this series. As soon as I read one book I was on to the next, so this three book box set was just perfect. Each book has a case that gets solved but it also has a long running mystery surrounding the island that we learn a little bit more about with each book, which was another reason I was straight on to the next book. The other reason is because of the characters, I mean who isn't going to love a book with the cat society club in ( a group of cats that hold meetings to try and solve the murder for there human) but it is so much more than that, over the course of the books we have gotten to know the characters so well that they feel like family that you love reading about. The characters are all so much fun from the bright and colourful Cellobella and her wonderful costumes, Latifa the sneaky mystery solving cat, Bear the Bear shifter cook, the full of surprises Grandmother to name just a few and trust me there are a whole lot more.

When her father didn't return from his trip to the look for her mother, Hayden starts to notice that things in Destiny Falls isn't right. Could it be losing some of its magic? She doesn't have much time to ponder why there are storm clouds in the sky or why the camping shop is just a shop before she is on the scene when two dead bodies are found. Another connection to the strange island of Gladstone and the ferry, has her and the family looking into the past to find the answers. She receives some unexpected help in her quest but not everybody is who they seem to be. Can Hayden, her sassy sidekicks and the family find the answers before somebody else gets hurt

I liked the medieval festival theme through out the story and it was so easy to picture, I am sure I heard the clashing of the lances. Just a great book written by a talented author but don't just take my word for it, give it a go yourself and make up your own mind.
It's not everyday that Hayden receives an invitation to a medieval festival on the forbidden island but when she and the rest of the resident's from the island of Destiny Falls get one it creates a party atmosphere. The only dampener is a mess in her office and the discovery of a dead body. Costume planning is put on hold as Hayden and the rest of the gang try to find out who the dead man was and more importantly who killed him. Why was he in Hayden's office in the first place? A note seems to show he was set up and his death was planned. But why? Hayden and the gangs investigation leads them to a number of secrets but with the medieval festival it's self having a number of secrets, things are going to get dicey
Old Bones and Ice Cream Cones
This book also continues from where the last book left off, with the main character finding out her boyfriend is missing.There is a lot going on and despite solving a murder and finding a missing boyfriend, they still find time to dress up and have fun, even the SCS (the Secret Car Society) tget in on the fun and dress up ,while helping to solve the case.
With Hayden's boyfriend missing, she and his sister start looking for clues about his whereabouts and his secret assignment, only for him to turn up like nothing is wrong but something is wrong he is different. Is black magic at work? And if so who is responsible? And more importantly why? Hayden doesn't what to let him out of her site and the pair goes for a romantic picnic only to discover bones in an old rowing boat. Identifying the body proves difficult and Hayden as editor of Destiny Falls newspaper will have to use all her skills as a researcher and contacts if she wants to find the name that goes with the bones and possible find the killer. Then the unthinkable happens and Hans goes missing again. Can Hayden and her friends save her boyfriend as well as solve the cold case? Time will tell, if she has enough patience

Enjoyable
After the first book in the series I just had to read as many as I could in one go. This is not a series you can read as a stand-alone book or you could get very confused but they are all enjoyable stories and I recommend reading them
