First off, let me start this review by saying that I absolutely LOVED this book and enjoyed reading every single word. To say that I couldn't put it down would be an understatement. I love how Margie Church wrote her characters. because of her illustrative description of each character and personalities, you get to understand them and relate to them. At least in terms of how they feel for one another. Her writing is remarkable. She lures you in immediately with Wade's character and his sexy hot looks. And you can't help but take a liking to Jui also. She's a very independent women who knows what she wants, gets what she wants and totally speaks her mind as needed. It actually sounds like Margie was writing about "me". LOL. Just Kidding.

So there you are minding your own business and you come across this sexy, hot looking thing and you can't help but just want to get to know what he's about. But as soon as you get close to him and you know he wants you, he pushes you away! What gives? Well that's what happen with Jui and Wade. He invaded the thoughts in her head and she just couldn't shake him off, no matter how much she tried moving on. He was there in her thoughts and she couldn't get enough of him. He kept his distance, knowing that he's a vampire and that he couldn't build a relationship with her. But seeing Jui moving on, though he told her too, made him for the first time as a vampire, jealous. However knowing how his action can be dangerously serious, he somehow has to find a way to let her go. But what is love, especially when it's forbidden love?

If you're looking for a sexy, hot vampire read, then you need to read "Love Bites" By Margie Church. Once you pick this book up, you're going to love it and won't put it down until you finish it. BTW this book is the first in series. So I can't wait to pick up "Dangerous Love". "Love Bites" is a Definite MUST read and Definite "Sinfully Tasty Read" =)

Love Bites by Margie Church is a short story about how a vampire can love someone so much but can not
let his passion for a human get in the way of living a normal life. Wow, how you can love someone so much but sacrifice everything in the name of love, but no matter what the more you push away the more you are drawn in on what you can not have. Jui is a human and since her first encounter with Wade, she wanted him no matter how obnoxious he seemed to be, how flirtatious he was in front of her. Jui just wanted to feel him love her, make love to him no matter what, but why the rejection from Wade? What is Wade hiding, besides her not knowing that he is a vampire?

Wade has been a vampire for not very long but his connection with Jui is drawing him near to her and he can’t help in trying to figure out what is their true connection. Wade can’t help the real human emotions he has for her and all he does is think of her. So, why not just take her? Wade will not let that happen even if that is what he wants, he does not want Jui to become what he is and will not let Jui hate him for that.

Church does exceptional work in the characters that she has created along with the passion that they have for each other and the protectiveness he has over her. Can their relationship work, can Wade really let Jui live a life without him and let her make a life with Rob? How can two different people make love to each other, shed tears for the other person, and walk away? This book is just amazing and brought me to tears. The ending of this book will bring you to tears, and leave you with the hope that maybe love conquers all and you just have to wait and pass pain, torture, loneliness—but it will come. Read Love Bites by Margie Church you will not regret it.

Although Wade Kairos has moments when he seems utterly irredeemable, Margie points up the notion that love truly can overcome anything. The final denouement reverberates with terror and an impossible choice that will save or destroy them both.
This scorching-hot read is sure to keep you up way past your bedtime! Enthusiastically recommended to anyone who likes erotica...with a BITE!

OMG I seriously enjoyed this story. I couldn't leave the computer screen until it was done.I particularly like how the heroine, Jui Fabrice is not a whiney ingenue. The Dark and mysterious Wade Kairos is very sexy and has some big surprises.

Margie Church has certainly won over my heart and my passion for vampires. Love Bites is the sexy love story between Wade Kairos, a very good looking, sexy vampire, and Jui Fabrice, a hot, young business woman. Jui's first encounter with Wade was at an outdoor cafe in Germany where she watched him openly kiss and fondle his female companions while he flirted with her. No matter how much she wanted to be disgusted at the spectacle, she found herself attracted to Wade and very turned on by him. Margie takes us inside this hunky vampire's mind and life and shows us that he is not all evil, lustful, and blood hungry. When it comes to Jui, Wade's human emotions long since buried, again begin to surface. This story is about forbidden love, blood lust, sex and passion, protection from evil, heartbreak, and betrayal. Margie Church is an excellent and amazing author and she pulled me into this story as soon as I read the first few pages. She is also extremely talented in writing sex scenes. This story pretty much kept me hot and bothered. I found myself not putting the book down until I found out how the story ended. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a hot read with vampires and a suspense story.

This is a fast-paced, gritty, seductive story. The romatic relationship between Jui Fabrice and Wade Kairos is definitely not predictable or typical of romance novels. The more Jui pursues Wade, the more he pushes her away. She won't let go easily and digs into his past and abnormal behaviors, searching for answers. The Ancient One, Ladislav Husek,gets wind of Wade's human-like behaviors and comes after Wade, threatening Wade's existance and Jui.

If vampires are in your blood, Love Bites needs to be on your shelf.

Jui, what an awesome name! She is such a strong female lead and you are rooting for her all the way. She meets Wade our playboy vamp. She puts him off time and again, but he is determined. What they go through, separate and together is what keeps you glued to this wonderful book!
I really loved how Margie tied it all up. Very unexpected.

I'm sorry but I just did not like this book at all. It really seemed like a first draft. Though the sex scenes were hotter than fire, the rest of the book just lacked.
