This is the first I have heard of or read a book by Tim Green. I have to say, his writing style is right on! Every single page of this thriller left me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next, who would get hurt, who done it, you name it!
False Convictions is an excellent book full of corruption, lies and deceit that will blow your mind! It was a page turner that I could not tear myself to put down until the very last page. Then I wanted more! I would love to see Tim Green keep going with these characters. I think it would make a must read series of books!

the very end was kind of good but other things didnt make much sense like if Casey is such a great lawyer then she would have investigated if there was a seriel killer at the same time the girl was killed or better yet the journalist would have too. Its not very believable that for 20 years a guy was in prison and this one lawyer waltzes in and just gets him out.

This book wasn't as good as the others. Too hard to follow at times. Felt like there were subplots within subplots. He's written better.

This is a page-turner with so many twists on the way. I enjoyed the characterisations. Although I felt that it was coming to a disappointing ending, Tim Green does not disappoint with the final spin in the last few pages. I will look out for more by this author, featuring his Texan lawyer, Casey Jordan.

Nothing special - no twists or turns, pretty predictable. The writing style was okay but characters very bland and stereotypical. I’ll try another by this author even though he gave away the killers in the first two books in this one - pretty dumb move, I’d say!

The Action/Suspense was intriguing right up to the "What, Who, Where, Why and When" of the final pages. One of those stories that is hard to put down. A very good author. I was also impressed with his "Above the Law" which I read a while back.

I enjoyed this book. It's the first time I've read anything by this author and I found the story to be entertaining. I thought it was well thought out and the characters we good. I will probably look for more of his work.

For someone supposedly as sharp and bright as described, Casey Jordan is awfully gullible and naive. After helping get two serial killers back on the streets (one from a previous book) , I feel I’ve had enough of her. In real life, I doubt she’d be allowed near a courtroom.

a very good book, I know its an older book (first edition Feb.2010). I feel Tim Green is a good writer and have read several of his books.

When Casey receives a call from Graham asking to have dinner with her she doesn't hesitate a second before dropping other plans - The Freedom Project, a charity that uses DNA to prove the innocence of those found guilty, is dear to Casey's heart, and she believes Graham may be interested in helping it. The promise of a million dollar pledge to Casey's legal clinic in return for her legal services is something she can't refuse. So, she heads for Auburn, NY to free Hubbard. Casey gets a lot of flack because of a recent movie made about her in which she's portrayed by Susan Lucci, but even more disturbing than flack is the niggling suspicion that someone is blocking her efforts. Suspicion grows closer to reality after she meets and compares notes with handsome TV journalist Jake Carlson who has been assigned to do a piece on Graham. Carlson is good at his job; he knows how to pander to a rich man's ego, so much so that during the interview Graham became red-faced and teary-eyed from telling humorous stories about eating ketchup sandwiches as a child and building toys out of used Popsicle sticks...."
A believable story? To many but not to Jake and soon Casey has more than doubts - corroborated when both have to run for their lives.

My Thoughts: Casey Jordan, Texas attorney, beautiful and famous since having had a movie made about her and a recent case that she won. Enter Robert Graham, handsome, philanthropist and founder of the Freedom Project. The offer is one million dollars for her firm and all she is to do is exonerate 2 felons, within a year, who have been convicted wrongly. Sounds easy enough! But as she obtains details for her first case of a man who has been locked up for twenty years, unsavory facts are surfacing, and not about her client. How do politicians, judges, police officers and even the "mob" tie in to this old case? How is it that she is arrested for falsifying evidence? And is Robert Graham really who he says he is?
My Opinion and Rating: This was the first book by this author that I read from a long list of previous novels. I personally enjoy when a book has chapters that are just a few pages. I find myself thinking "just one more chapter" and read the next 7 or 8, and this book was just that. The suspense was gripping, and at times, fast paced. The characters were intriguing and came to life with the author's writing style. The ending left this reader quite disappointed though. The book was thrilling until the seemingly unrealistic finale. However, I gave this book a rating of 4 stars for the overall riveting plot.

I don't know about the plot here. Basically a very similar premise as Above The Law. Which I liked. Don't see how Casey can be duped again in similar fashion. But hey it is only fiction. I did like the story and it is well developed i just couldn't get past the similar plot line. Casey gets asked to join The Freedom project a not for profit group of lawyers helping to appeal wrongly convicted people and get them out of jail. A wealthy billionaire Robert Graham asks her to reopen the case of a poor black man convicted of a heinous murder over 20 years ago. As Casey and a newspaper reporter Jake Carlson start to dig into the background of the case they are net with various levels of resistance from all different places. Jakes gut tells him that Graham is no good and that his efforts here are not noble. Casey the supposedly brilliant lawyer just seems to walk into set up after set up. She also doesn't know when not to give up information that any normal lawyer wouldn't. Just tough to swallow. Things need to add up better. Hope the author tries a different tact next time.

Attorney Casey Jordan runs a legal clinic for the underprivileged women, when she is contacted by the wealthy and powerful millionaire Robert Graham to ask her to participate in his pet charity “The Freedom Project.” The Freedom Project aim is to gain the freedom of prisoners who have been convicted of crimes they did not commit. In exchange for Casey’s assistance Graham will donate a million dollars to her clinic. The 1st case they want Casey’s help with is one involving a black man named Dwayne Hubbard who was convicted of raping and murdering a small town beauty queen in almost 20 years ago.
As Casey begins to research the case she discovers a cover-up, corruption, and then it appears something more. As she digs deeper, it becomes apparent that she has gotten involved in something more than she anticipated and that her reputation and life could be in jeopardy.
This was a very good read, with several plot twists and an unexpected yet gratifying ending.

Despite some language issues, I will probably read more by this author.
This was a hard to put down story of a lawyer offered one million dollars for her legal aid clinic if she will take on a Freedom Project case to overturn the conviction of a man whose trial was railroaded through a racially charged community two decades ago. As Casey battles the corruption within a small town's political structure, she begins to uncover layers of secrets she was not meant to discover, and she must soon fight for her own reputation as well as her life.

Another captivating Casey Jordan thriller. This time Casey is offered a million dollars a year for her legal clinic if she will work a case or two a year for the Freedom Project, assisting them to get convicted felons who are not guilty freed from prison. The head of the project takes her to New York where they work on freeing a convicted rapist-murderer. There are a number of fascinating characters along with tons of action and an ending that will endear the author to most readers. Another good read.

Grabbed this from RRL. Okay! Now I am a fan of Tim Green! He writes about upstate NY! His main bad guy has an office in Rochester and contacts in Buffalo. Casey Jordan is a very believable character! A heroine who isn't perfect and can almost be won over by the bad guys!
Fast moving with some fun twists and turns. I am going to look up more books by Tim.

This is my first Tim Green, but I will certainly be reading more. This was a real page turner and hard to put down once I started. The plot twists kept my fingers on the edge of the page ready to turn quickly to the next one. This is a legal thriller with corruption, murder, legal antics, and a hint of romance. Great characters and exciting story.

I liked this one - the first time for me reading Tim Green, but I may go back and check out some of his earlier books. My rating is really 3 and 1/2. Interesting twists at the end.
