Contains good ideas for techniques for a beginner, even if the project ideas are dated being about 20 years old. You need to have some general knowledge or you may be a bit lost. It really is pretty easy, but the author explains how it works, yet there aren’t really photos of just needles turning roving into something more-the basics of needle felting. I’ve done it once before only, but it was enough for me to follow everything in the book and learn a lot. As I said, I’m taking away lots of new techniques from a small book.
I wasn't in love with the patterns or instructions in this book with the exception of the pattern for felting on felt. But I did really like some of the ideas. The felt on felt technique and the felting with a stencil were both awesome.
The photographs illustrating technique are large and very clear. The projects are somewhat simple, but with a title like that, I guess that's what you'd expect!
