For those accustomed to more traditional Bible study or more traditional history, this book may be a bit frustrating, because it is more novelistic in style. Even when passages of Scripture are quoted, no citation of the source is given. I found it interesting mostly for the historical background it provides--but again, there are no notes or bibliography that would allow us to check the author's characterization of things.
