Life is difficult enough for eleven-year-old Toni Bradfield when her father decides to move them to New Zealand - but things get even worse when she finds out her new home is across the street from a creepy house where coffins are stored. One particular restless night, as Toni sits looking out her window, she sees a light and something moving in the deserted coffin house. When she tells her new friends Erana and Wiremu about this, Wiremu confides that he too has seen strange things in the creepy building. In fact, he is sure he saw his grandfather sneaking around the inside - which seems impossible because his grandfather has been dead for many years. But if it isn't Wiremu's grandfather, then who could it be? Join Toni, Erana, and Wiremu in a thrilling adventure as they try to solve the mystery of the coffin house!

This book was one of my favorites. Toni moved to New Zealand with her father and across the street from her house is a coffin house where coffins are stored. Her and her friends think they see people in there at night. They go to check it out and some crazy things happen. its a thrilling adventure and and easy reader. I really enjoyed it.

The novel Coffin House, by Pamela Carrington Reid was published in the year of 2005. Pamela was born on January 14, 1956 in Auckland, New England. This novel was about 11 year old girl named Toni Bradfield. Her father and her moved to New England and she was already going through a tough time and with this move it became worst. When she moved to her house which is across the street from a coffin house where they keep coffins, one night she saw a light coming from inside. This book was a good book for me because it always had me excited to keep reading onto the next chapter.
I noticed that the way the author wrote this book was in a style that is perfect for teenagers to read and be interested but also in a style that adults will love to read this book. This book reminds me of a movie called Monster House that I used to watch as a little kid because they both are similar and they both are about 3 kids that see strange activity happening in a house and they check it out and they go through a spooky intense adventure.
This book is for someone who is into spooky and cliffhangers because those are the pros that make this book exciting. I would rate this book 3 out of 5 stars because even though it is a good book in different ways it can improve on the level of vocabulary because there were some words that Pamela could replace to make this book more for adults. This book is still a good book because you will feel like you can’t stop reading, trust me.

The book Coffin house is a really good book in my opinion. It has a lot of adventure in it and some mystery in it. Coffin house teaches you some good lessons that can help a lot in life. It goes into to detail about how some of the charters feel and stuff like that. I think Toni is the one that changes a lot in this book. At first she is scared to be living in a new country and be going to a new school and church but then she realizes that it isn't as bad as she thought it would be. She makes friends really easy and she becomes really close with her basketball coach, both her and her dad. She overcomes a bunch of fears that she has in the book. And she is almost like a different person at the end of the book. What I like about the book is that you can sometimes feel like your in the book and your on of the characters. You think you know what is going to happen but sometimes it happen like you would expect it to. But over all I think it's just a really good book.

My love of reading started when i was young, and it gives me immense pleasure to provide books to Spread the Word Nevada, an organization that passes them on to children in the community. They are a terrific organization supporting an important cause. If your local I encourage you to check them out. For those living further a field, look in your own community, their may already be a similar program in place. And if not, you can always help start one.

Myself, I go out on the weekends and
shop thrift store and bulk book lots to rescue books and donate them. Sometimes I'll find a book I remember reading when I was young and will read it again before passing it on.

I don't rate these books using my normal scale, instead I give most of them three stars. This isn't a Criticism of the book, simply my way of rating them as good for children.
