I think this is the book which I read when I was about 10 years old.If this is wrong, please do tell me...

It described skating beautifully.

A teenage skater finds himself being approached by a coach to skate in pairs with a beautiful solo figure skater who happens to be from the same high school. He remembers being attracted to her but never having the courage to ask her out as she was always accompanied by her "popular" crowd.

In the process of training together, they began to build a warm relationship and although it was strictly platonic, it was sweet.

However the next book in this series ( There are 2 in this series), could have a shown a deeper relationship of them. Either way, they build a sweet romance on the ice and a true friendship off it.

I loved it and I'll never forget how this was one of the things that sparked my passion in skating, some nearly 8 years ago......

A book that I will always make sure I own a copy. A light hearted and yet thoughtful coming of age and relationship exploring.
