Designed to ensure students grasp and apply concepts and theories of communication - not just recite information - this new edition addition to human communication offers an engaging text format for easy readability and reference.
Accessible to the student, with a cost less than the standard traditional text, THINK Communication has unique features, the latest research, along with real-world examples and contemporary visuals that will help students identify and understand their own communication, as well as the behavior of others.
Teaching this text now for the first semester-- extremely current, relevant, appropriate, self-reflective read for the traditional age college student.
My critique would be that all the bits complied are too short, which leans toward giving the impression that the entire topic of Communications lacks substance and is rather just a mash of tidbits.
The audio version is good but there are a few notable issues. For one, the narrator isn't the best, which is a bit peculiar given the subject matter. Some of the chapters were also truncated. In any case, I have an undergraduate in speech communication and found the book to be a good but not great review of the material.
The content is good, mainly the second half. Although the narration of the audiobook is good, it has some technical flaws (I was not able to get chapter 6). The latest chapters contain great advice for who's intending to give presentations or classes.
I liked the way this book was organized and laid out. It was very easy to read and I learned a lot about how to improve my communication skills and to understand other communication styles.
