Most days I can be found bent over my keyboard creating worlds where a ghost turns out to be a cursed bootlegger or an outlaw shifter is forced to go on the run with the assassin tasked with killing her. Being an author is a bit like being a detective. Uncovering secrets and discovering what makes my characters tick becomes an addictive adventure that I hope translates into a story that my readers will enjoy.

When I'm not dreaming up stories featuring heroes who aren't intimidated by strong heroines, you can find me exploring antique stores and thrift shops looking for vintage treasures or communing with nature, which is code for sitting on the patio with a cup of tea and a good book.

It wasn't as sexy as I thought it would be. A little hard to connect with the characters. It's a fun theme, with the shoes, but weak main characters, and even weaker supporting characters took a lot of the fun out of the book.

Being an Ellora's book, I expected a little more than the plain vanilla romps we get in this book.
