A fast, enjoyable horror novel of mankind messing with nature and reaping the whirlwind. Fairly flat characters who all fall into one-note categories knocked a star off this one's final rating, but the setup and execution of the plot are quite well done. I'd absolutely read more of Kirby's horror output, and all told this was a pleasing diversion, better than I expected for a Zebra horror novel.
