About the author

Aya Nakahara is an award-winning Japanese comic book author who made her debut in 1995. She is most famous for her Kansai-dialect romantic comedy series Lovely Complex (also known as ラブ★コン or Love★Com) which as well as spawning a feature film and a 24-episode animated television series has been translated into many different languages and has been published across the world.

She primarily writes in the romance and romantic comedy genres. Her most recent work is Dame no Watashi Koishite kudasai R (ダメな私に恋してくださいR).

I think that any fan of Nakahara Aya will like this, it has her name written all over it.

-The characters: Nako is a bit like Risa from LoveCom, a bit like Michiko from Dame na (clumsy, thinking of others, wanting a boyfriend but not precisely her main goal, a bit sarcastic and with the funniest faces); Konatsu is more like Shunin from Dame na (an ex-yankee but with a good heart; a bit sullen and unsociable but with a few people who care for him; that scold and black hair is very Shunin-like); both of them like to quarrel and like other people.. they become friends before any romantic feelings develop (vol 1 ends and not one of them is in love, like in so many other shoujo where the girl falls for him in the first 2 panels **eye-rolling**).

-The fashion: clothes are so pretty! Hers and his.. even the hairstyles. That is so characteristic of her manga. The details.

-Likeable sidekicks, the good, cry-baby boy and the tougher, more sarcastic bff of the female MC.

-Both of them like other people in the first volume: she likes his older brother (married to her older sister) and he likes his sempai. But of course it is just their first crush, while between them is more chemistry.

Ahh I liked it, it is like revisiting Lovely * Complex and ダメな私に恋してください 1 Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai 1 . Funny, beautiful art, loveable characters.

IM CRYING I LOVE HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP
I HATE THAT IT DIDNT HAVE MORE CHAPTERS OR MAYBE DEPTH IN THE CHARACTERS BUT THE PACE WAS DEFINITELY FAST SO THATS WHY THE CHAPTERS ARE FEW WTV I THINK THATS HOW SOME THINGS HAPPENS , LIKE SO FAST? AS WELL AS FEELING, I WANTED THE FL TO FIX HER PERSONALITY OF GIVING THINGS UP FOR ANOTHER PPL THATS NOT ALWAYS KINDNESS ITS JUST STRAIGHT PPL PLEASING LIKD KIND OF OK BUT I DO UNDERSTAND HER AND SHE KINDA FIX IT THANKS TO KONATSU, I LOVE MLS LIKE HIM🙈🙈 ALL SHY AND TSUNDERES RAHHHH ANYWAYS I HAVE A BIO FINAL ANS DIDNT STUDY YET BUT THIS MANGA DEFINITELY WORTH IT SO PURE AND MAKES U SOOO HAPPYYYY

Hehe the cutest, happy-go-lucky manga I've read in a long time. I really liked how it ended. Definitely good for when you're feeling down. Hehe, light, funny, and the protag is definitely not a push over/annoying character who loses their awesomeness after they discover they like the other protag. Though her persistence was a little annoying, it was a part of her character so it makes sense.

Cuteeeee ♥ Obviamente contiene el humor y ternura que pude ver en Lovely Complex. Me hubiera gustado que sea más largo pero me pareció adorable.
