Ciara Blackwell's intuition told her that people only want to get the best out of you. Still she was faithful to her promiscuous husband just to be left alone while he went to play house with a stripper and his boy toy. Looking for excitement to fill the void, she befriends Tasha, a woman out for revenge, and the scandalous duo come up with a scheme that leaves her life spiraling downward even more. Caught between Love, Hate, Kill and Take, the only constant in Ciara's life is drama. She knows first hand about substance abuse and has survived first round knockout fights, tragic losses, and backstabbing only to realize that her life would not get any better than this. The streets of Chicago will never be the same once she goes head on with her past.

Morgan wrote an action-packed story of lust, greed, and lies in the pages of Discombobulated. Ciara Blackwell, the main character, is an attractive, weed-smoking young lady who does not back down from a fist fight. Ciara is betrayed by her best friends and her husband; this betrayal leads to pain and a life of crime.
Though the continuous events in the story make the book easy to read, it fails to convey plot and character development. The emotions that Ciara went through were mentioned, but not capitalized on to truly engage the reader. It was also obvious that Morgan is a male author writing about female characters due to the writing style. There were no thought provoking moments while reading this novel, except for the occasional identification of which song lyric the author was making reference to when describing a thought or scene. However, Morgan seems to have a knack for storytelling and the cliff-hanger ending implies that he has more to share with the world.

I thought this was an EXCELLENT read! The title describes this book exactly. The main character, Ciara, was in love with a man who could not choose sides and who could not keep his "thingy" in his pants. She had a so-called best friend, who ended up being no good. Poor Ciara got caught up with her husband's "friend" and all the drama that goes along with being a cheater. She ends up in the last place I expected.

I loved this book. It was easy to follow, realistic characters and a realistic story line. I would read more from this author.

Ciara 's transformation from cheating victim to treacherous chick was crazy. Good read though. Author never capitalized on HIV syatus & how it should have affected Ciara. Story moved along well without "fillers".
