I read the Niagra Falls book, not this audio version. Book is a combination of fiction and non-fiction. Geronimo is a mouse who owns a daily newspaper. He accidentally volunteers to lead a group of elementary mice, including his nephew, on a camping trip to Niagra Falls. Throughout the trip, the author also gave histories of the falls, explained how to set up a tent, cook with fire, and other things. I found the book annoying, but third graders who like the outdoors might like it.

I only continue to listen/read these books because my daughter likes them so well. I didn't particularly like the first book, but the second book (about a trip to Niagara Falls) was better. Some interesting facts about Native American tribes were included in the second book. For a young reader, the books definitely keep their interest.
