An excellent text in elementary sedimentology and stratigraphy! I wish he had covered basic weathering and soils a bit more for my benefit, but to be fair, this book assumes one already understands soils and such. I also was hoping for more discussion on glacial systems and their dynamics. Great connection with current research papers and such. Excellent discussions on biostratigraphy! Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci was the first sedimentographer! It's true!

Good book but some of the information is too vague, but it should be a good introduction for those who are studying or want to study sediment rocks.
