I enjoyed the first volume but the author completely loses objectivity in this second volume, seemingly intent on disparaging Pilate in every single line of Part I. Then, from Part II on, it is a mess of rambling information, little more than an appendix larger than the rest of the volume.

Too many words, not enough points

The author could have stopped at volume I. This 2nd volume had very little about the trial. It was more about history & perspective than trial & law.
