Really cheesy but I enjoyed it and it gives me nostalgic vibes you know a trio going on a great quest. This was my first comic and I honestly didn't expect it to be that small😂 but yeah really excited to continue.

After overcoming a dangerous prank by Loki, teenaged Thor, Sif, and Balder are given their first quest by Odin - acquire for items from around Asgard to be used in the creation of a new enchanted sword. Seems like a fun and easy task for the young warriors, but they just might not be prepared for everything!

While there is nothing particularly amazing about this first issue, there is a potential for some fun storytelling. I like the combination of Thor, Sif and Balder and seeing their relationship when just teens might be a nice foundation for their later adventures and friendship.

Tocchini’s art has its ups and downs - while there are some truly gorgeous panels of Asgard early in the issue, there are also panels with some very awkward facial expressions. His action sequences are pretty well done with clear movement and motion. There is a nice flow to his layouts though, and that aids in telling the story nicely.

While I wasn’t blown away by this issue, I’m curious to see how this series develops.

Well, I'm turning into a comic fanatic recently, having already read a few of Archies comics since the past few weeks. And I just couldn't wait to start on the Marvel universe. Of course, I have watched all the movies so I know the basic plotline but this...this is different and new and exciting. Thor was one of my favorites and this is one of the first comics in the timeline so I picked this one up. This issue wasn't great for a start but I am okay with it. Thor turns out to be an amazing guy later on, right? So I can't wait for that to happen. I just feel like the illustrations in this one were not that great. But nothing we can't live without. So hey! See you in the next issue!

I'm trying to fulfill my goal of reading through the master guide of mcu comics and this is apparently a good starting point on multiple Master lists.

We get introduced to Thor as well as Loki, Sif, and Odin. Odin sends the teens on a quest worthy of brandishing the battle hammer. Very quick and enjoyable introduction.

Thor tries to lift mjolnir and cannot. Loki enchants 3 spiders into large beasts. Thor, Sif, and Balder defeat the spiders and are sent on a quest from Odin to obtain 4 ingredients for a new sword. A dragon's scale, a feather, a gem, and water.

Reading this more for Loki in mind, which makes me sad although he's "evil" since you eventually realize why he became bitter. Also I think the Mjolnir doesn't discriminate women part a bit funny lol

Also Im fine with him having to clean the trophy room but why did he have to send the other 3 off in front of him lol - punishment I guess but MAN I AM BIASED. MY LOKI.

Illustrstion style is kind of ugly and the story seems a bit obvious and chlidish.
