An awesome suspenceful story within the Windswept series. Author Dorothy Woolfolk's mystery tone helps elevate the gothic genre to thriller as the 17 year old heroine must battle the elements - rainswept moors, suspicious characters - a moody professor, a seductive Egyptian and even the well-meaning parents of her best friend as she attempts to find her missing mom. But the clock is ticking on mom's fate who is held captive by a mad woman.

Loved these Windswept books when I was a teen. :-)

Decent YA mystery with a little romance thrown in. I thought the romance part was bit odd. The two characters a 17 year old girl and an older guy. I don't know she just seemed a bit young for him.
