I've picked up several plywood boat building books and this has been the best I've seen so far. It strikes a great balance between competence and enthusiasm. He obviously has a great sense of craft but is a real pragmatist and doesn't make you feel bad if you don't go for the most painstaking options. Great boat designs by Phil Bolger and step by step walk throughs for three boats. I'm almost finished building the 'Cartopper' and it has been a great resource.
