This was supposed to be the best hedgehog book on the market (according to reviews on Amanzon). But I wasn't as impressed by this as by other pet books I've read in the past. It didn't have quite the specifics I was looking for and it seemed dated. But it was also written quite a few years ago and apparently in general people don't know as much about hedgehogs as pets as they do other animals. I think the web is probably going to be a better reference for me than this book going forward. However, it does have an impressive section on diseases, which is why it was probably rated highly on amazon.

Доста полезно за начинаещи собственици на таралежи. Не, че не могат да се намерят почти същите неща и в интернет, но тук са добре систематизирани и има готини снимки на таралежчета :)

This was a really thorough and very well-organized guide! It really helped me to determine if a hedgehog would really be the best pet for me in my current living situation. It actually answered all of my original questions; do the quills/needles actually hurt when you touch them? What do they eat? How big of a living space do they need? How much and what kind of exercise do they require and how adaptable to strangers are they? I read the Kindle edition and was very pleased at the quality of the conversion. Some e-books come with missing or distorted text, this one was pristine.

This is the most amazing book you will ever read!!! It contains tons of info about hedgehogs but keeps the reader entertained with lots of awesome pictures!!! I have a hedgehog so I understand why this book would be so helpful! But even for people that don’t have a hedgehog this book would inspire you to get one!!! I learned many things for an example I learned that when you feed them cat food it should have meat or poultry as the first ingredient! This is my favorite book in the whole word! You have to read it!!!

I just acquired an adult hedgehog. I hope to take her to school as a class pet. I learned a lot about her behavior from this book. Next time I need to find a baby that can be "molded" into a calmer animal. My hedgehog is skittish, but she did just have a leg amputated, so she has an excuse.

If you have a hedgehog, like we do, then this book will be pretty darn helpful for you.

Though we’ve had our little Hedgie for a year and a half, we just picked up this book. We researched Hedgehog care on-line, but there was a ton of information in this book that we never found round the ‘net.

full of concise, useful information. some of it may be inaccurate because of how old the book is, but otherwise very useful for learning important basics.
