Informational & contemporary realistic
Younger elementary to 3rd grade
I enjoyed this book because it was very informational on space and what astronauts go through while in space and what they experience! It gave information on science terms, what astronauts eat, tons of information on their suits , how they deal with gravity and what they do day to day while in the space shuttle! This books illustrations made it fun and interesting to learn about space! I would defiantly recommend to my classroom must reads!

Very informative book about what astronauts go through and how they live in space. This book focuses on the ways that astronauts go about their biological lives and how their surroundings are designed for allowing the necessities of life to continue. The accompanying illustrations are great and have little labels showing all the different parts of the space suits, the toilets, and the dinners.

Great book full of lots of information about astronauts life in space. I learned lots of very interesting information about life in space. The pictures added to the text and will keep students engaged. Would be a helpful tool for a teaching a science lesson about space!

This book gave a lot of information on astronauts in space. It is a great factual read that would be very useful in an elementary science class where students can learn about some of the challenges that you face when in space! I learned a lot myself, and I highly recommend!

Floating in Space is a non fiction book that gives facts about astronauts in space. It talks about how they eat, the equipment they use, and the list goes on. The book makes reading about space fun with its different illustrations and with the way it includes the reader in the text. I would use this book in the classroom to talk about nouns and pronouns and how to identify those different literacy techniques in a reading.

The reasons behind Earth's gravity is explained in terms young students are able to understand. It explains what it is like to be an astronaut and how they perform day-to-day activities. Foods, procedures and funny ideas are explained. Useful for science, especially a space unit.
