What does a news headline tell us? So many stories could have created that bold black at the top of the column—even some that aren’t in the article. LOST NEWS contains short stories and poetic fiction that could be sidebars to newspaper headlines. With contemporary settings, both urban and rural, this collection gives a behind-the-scenes look at everyday events. 13,000 words, 4 poems, 6 stories
I began my writing career with published historical fiction, and YA contemporaries. I have now added YA nonfiction, contemporary adult work, and science fiction to the mix. I've also published poetry and articles, and have edited for several national magazines and book companies.
I give presentations about writing and history. Through Humanities Montana, I travel to different Montana locations with a presentation based on the history background for my very first book, Spotted Flower and the Ponokomita.
This all keeps me busy, but not so much that I have stopped reading books. I'm a frequent visitor at the Public Library, and enjoy discussing books with others.
