America's foremost "how to" yoga experts share intimate moments of their lives in Yogi Naked Truth from America's Leading Yoga Teachers. Through twenty engaging and insightful interviews, provocative questions are posed and explored, as you embark on an enjoyable and spiritual journey with yoga's premier "how come" book.
For those familiar with some of the older super stars of yoga, such as Rodney Yee, or those wanting to know more about the development of yoga in the US, this is an interesting read. Many profiles of high-profile yogis before social media.
At one point in my yoga journey, I read every yoga memoir I could get my hands on. I acquired this book during that time.
Very enlightening; a book you can read over and over and get new insights each time. Self's interviews offer a fascinating look at the development of yoga in America (and a little bit in Europe), as well the various gurus who inspired these teachers. Includes a helpful glossary. My only criticism is with the short bios that follow each interview: I would have liked them to be a bit longer and appear before the interview itself.
so far so good, very interesting to see what walks of lives these yogis came from and what turned them to yoga.. accountants, mothers, athletes, college students, etc..
